A lot of the things we did back then simply wouldn't fly nowadays. I never saw a climber safety next to a truss ladder back in the day. Not too many years later there wasn't a show out there that didn't have it as standard equipment. There weren't any safeties on trusses hanging off of chain climbers. Now they will throw you off of a call if you don't clip into the cables across the top of every truss.

It's all for the better, but certainly different. After I left Hilton I went to work at another very old arena for a couple of years. When I went up in the ceiling there once they mentioned that they had been paying the widow of one worker for something like 50 years because he fell from the ceiling and died. Not exactly a safe business back in the day.

Sixteen year old me on top of ladder adjusting spot lights for the school play. Lights were on a bar suspended just a little lower than the gymnasium ceiling. Scared the hell out of me. Under the direction of the English and drama teacher who was a never ending power trip for anyone who wasn't the lead in his ******* play.

Like the one below but wooden and MUCH taller. Bet they don't even make them like that anymore.

I think The first flat screen TV I ever saw was a 40" plasma at Nebraska Furniture Mart for $20k.

Today they have a 93" TV on sale for under $4k

I have my Amazon list set up for purchased items to still show so I don't know what's been bought, but if you click on an item it says someone has bought this for you. Seems contradictory.

If Brock doesn't win the MVP some people on CF are gonna go off the deep end.

Hope there is water in the pool cause he probably won't. He wasn't preordained as a franchise QB so the idiot sports writers that vote the award will be looking for anyone else to vote for. Just the way these awards are dished out. Like the Heisman, it's all hype, PR and deep bull crap.

Yeah, we used to have one of those wood ones on wheels at CY Stephens and Fisher Theater. I always got a bit nervous when the casters got close to the DS edge of the stage. It was also pretty spooky when you were clear at the top straddling that extension and they would wheel you around. The extension would sway back and forth like those guys in the Mad Max Fury Road movie.

Hey all...
We're going to be traveling again and will miss the games against KU (Sat, 27 Jan, 12.30p) and TTU (Sat, 17 Feb, 11.00a). Three tickets, row 4 sec 212 on the aisle. They come with a B1 parking pass (hard copy, would need to be mailed). For friends, face value (not sure how much that is, but I'm sure we can come up with a price). If no one can use them, I'll put them on ticket exchange when we get back from the bowl game.

With no snow and higher than normal temps it sure doesn't feel like day before xmas eve. With all the rainy type weather it honestly feels more like early April.

I don't need a blizzard but the old fashioned person in me likes to have a white christmas outside. :)

I'm pretty sure there are posters that care more about the MVP than Brock does pretty sure he has his sights set on the super bowl.

I'm loving this for travel, the ground is still thawed so if we can get a couple of inches of rain it'll soak right in and I would be good with it.
