Do u really believe they signed an 7 -8 year lease? Maybe that's the value of the trucks, but if the approximate $700/mo. lease is accurate, it is not a $6 million deal. You turn the trucks in at the end of the lease.

Leases always have a beginning date, ending date and maximum annual mileage without additional monies owed on a per mile basis

And lets be honest, dealers finding vehicles for players isn't exactly a new thing, even pre-NIL being legal.

Correct, but in this case, I am willing to guess the dealer that supplied the trucks has the first rights to buy them back as used vehicles, and more than likely is when the trucks have 6k-10k miles on them. The beginning and end date do not matter whatsoever. No dealer is going to supply trucks without some incentive from a business standpoint. They are all one year leases, and if a player stays, they get a completely different truck

What is hilarious to me is all these trucks had an average MSPR of $43,970? i believe, meaning someone donated 3.7 million worth of trucks. WTF does the 6 mil figure come from? lol

I’m plenty happy. Proud of this staff and team. I’m not part of the group that quit on them a month ago.

Not only buy them back, but then turn around and recoup some of the money if say someone like a Brock Purdy or Breece Hall from Utah was the one that drove the truck for a year or two. I would think there would be a market out there for a big Utah fan that would love to drive the vehicle from one of their star players and would be willing to pay more to do so.

I wonder how much of the discrepancy between us and our peer schools is the average fan being cheap vs the lack of big money donors. I'm sure we fall short in both areas, but I'm guessing it's the latter where we really come up short.
