Utah will never have the money and history that OU or UT has, sure they have more money than us, but it will not be an overwhelming difference like it is now.I'm afraid this will never be the case in the new NIL world. For example, every scholarship player on Utah's roster will now receive a new Dodge Ram pickup truck to drive around. How does Iowa State's We Will collective compete with that?
Rules will be passed regarding NIL, right now we are in the Wild West regarding it, that will not continue forever, the Blue Bloods will not want to lose their place in the peaking order and will force it on the rest of us.
A quick google search shows leasing a new Dodge Pickup to run around $619 a month, plus they were adding insurance, so let's call it $700 a month. Take that number by 12 months and then 85 players, you are looking at $714,000 a year. Great for a year or two, but let's see how long that continues.
