Random Thoughts 17: Here we go again.

To be fair, The MN State Fair is twice the size of the Iowa State Fair.
Also, drinking laws in Minnesota are pretty Draconian. MN let's it's guard down a bit for the fair so new stuff gets people excited.
I'm laughing but also sympathizing with you. It just reminds me of the first time that I cooked with jalapenos. It was for an old girlfriend. When I mentioned it and why it was happening I did not get the response that I was hoping for from cooking dinner. I guess I can't blame her.
Problem was taking a bite of it and it had absolutely no heat to it. Nothing! Even after the 10 minutes. I've done jalapenos, reapers, and habaneros before and wore gloves. Just weird this happened.
My kitchen sink had a leak that got progressively worse. $15 for a stupid cartridge. That's so much better than a 20 cent washer.
I am a nerd and like to stay up on what’s happening in the community and school so I watch/read the minutes of those appropriate meetings. Downright livid with a certain school board member for being woefully unprepared and making stupid points. Can’t wait to vote against him.
The $20 bill is the new $5 bill, or so I tell myself when I get stuck on what something "should" cost and than have to update myself.
Random observation that stuck me this afternoon as I saw a long line of REV manufactured school buses headed to the school up the street from me. These buses don't look appreciably different than an International model school bus from 1970-something. School buses are just stuck in time.
My mom struggles with this a lot. It is as if she can’t grasp the concept of inflation.
I guess I'll let you know how things turn out.
I know, brother. A $20 baggie of blow used to make a person happy, now they just laugh at you when you wave that in their face.
Most of the exterior of the buses are, sure. But I noticed a Blue Bird bus at son's CC meet had a green Blue Bird logo rather than the usual black. That was when I realized that it was an electric school bus.
They also have more than that one 5 Watt heater under the second to last seat that we had. I think they would have had more heat had they just lit a candle.
Too many bus rides on frozen busses to count. Windows iced over the whole time, the heater only heated the row it was on and for them it was blazing hot. That being said that did mean we huddled under blankets for show choir trips which was nice...
Heard there were a lot of strange noises and people kept coming out sweaty from under those blankets.
If I knew that was the peak of when she would want to be under a blanket with me I would have paid the driver to take the long way home.
Had DR appt today as follow up to me getting some, to me, high BP readings at home. I was probably just paranoid but I do stuff like 30 mile bike rides and as a septuagenarian I don't want to be stupid. What I thought of as high barely raised an eyebrow of DR. Outcome "You heart is more like an in shape 50 year old's." So, back to my routine. Should ride today before it gets stupid hot again.
Thought I might ask the guy getting gas next to me why the two face tattoos. Then I saw his vanity played. Osama…… dude is full of poor choices
