I like our transfers better than last year’s

Now that we know what we know. Yes. However, Osun was expected to be way better, Ward was expected to be better, Holmes was fantastic. We will have to evaluate these guys after next season to see who is Big 12 caliber

It feels like guard play transfers better than big men in the portal at least for our system. And osun wasn't bad, not sure what you expected. I wish he could have got more PT, but he was serviceable

Main issue with Osun was staying out of foul trouble (and maybe endurance). I thought he was great for the minutes played.

Jackson Paveletske has three years left to play and put up historical numbers for a freshman last year at Wofford. Keshon Gilbert has two years left and is actually projected by some to be drafted next year. Curtis Jones has two years and took/made more threes last year than anyone on our team.

We didn’t go after guys just because they were ranked high. That’s what some schools do (Iowa) and they end up having to place walk-ons on scholarship. We go after and get guys that are not only realistic but also that our staff has had previous relationships with.

The negative attitude you present on here is quite exhausting lol.
On3 lists Gilbert as the #17 transfer and Paveletzke as #26. I don't necessarily agree with their rankings but that just shows that people think highly of the transfers ISU got. and Like you said, guys with multiple years which makes them even more valuable.
I feel like with this years', and next years' classes, we are developing a good eastern European connection. You know, Paveletzke, Momcilovic (eastern, Wisconsin); Indrusaitis, eastern Illinois. :D

So good, we will all have to work on our spelling and pronunciation!

Going to be interesting to see how the dominoes fall with three remaining top transfers. Big 12 teams are of course involved.

Grant Nelson: Arkansas or Alabama

Oliver Nkamhoua: Baylor or West Virginia

Arthur Kaluma: Alabama or Texas Tech... maybe KState but the first two lead

This

I'm not going to say anyone has to like anything, but it's pretty obvious what TJ is doing. He's not going all out to win the conference next year. He's setting the table so we can be in the title hunt for multiple seasons down the road while still being a tournament team in the present

Do they believe he'll start?
Not to start a whole starting lineup side thread, but I think the way TJ will do it is, either Robert Jones or Ward starts the game. I also believe it's possible Jones starts, but plays the least amount of minutes at the 5, similar to how the end of last season went. With majority of the 5 minutes going to Ward, and King/Omaha in smaller lineups.
