I think Tuba would be a better instrument.Back-to-back: Z's first flute lesson is in the books. They seemed to be a lot of joy and laughter.
Making those notes is hard, but it sounds like she'll be just fine.

My sister played the oboe. Definitely the oboe.I think Tuba would be a better instrument.
But it would bring such joy to everyone in your house. There's no way this tiny kid is managing the tuba right now.

I think it can also give the oboist headaches, until they get the pressure figured out.My sister played the oboe. Definitely the oboe.
An oboe is a perfectly good instrument but in the hands of a novice, look out - excruciating.
By the time we got into Tulsa-town, we had 85 trucks in all. But there's a roadblock up on the cloverleaf, and them bears was wall to wall. Yeah them smokeys was thick as bugs on a bumper, they even had a bear in the air, I said callin' all trucks this here's the Duck, we about to go huntin' bear.
Like blowing in a pop bottle, but just pull the corners of your lips back.Back-to-back: Z's first flute lesson is in the books. They seemed to be a lot of joy and laughter.

Take this up about two octaves, double the volume and stretch it out for an hour a day and you've got about 10% of the cringe factor.
You can get a doctorate in one instrument??My nephew's husband has a doctorate in oboe. His quote about learning to play the oboe is “I played and played until I didn’t sound like a duck.”

So does he work and support his family with the oboe or is a he a waiter? My nephew's husband has a doctorate in oboe. His quote about learning to play the oboe is “I played and played until I didn’t sound like a duck.”
This is something I learned when he received his doctorate. You can get a doctorate in one instrument??
Honestly, he no longer enjoys playing the oboe. He did make a decent wage playing with an orchestra for a while but he's moved on to being an author (in a niche category of books) and his instrument of choice is now the harp. My nephew would be the primary bread-winner in the family. So does he work and support his family with the oboe or is a he a waiter?
I'm only half kidding...
I wouldn't wish tuba on ANY parent. Listening to my son practice, it sounded more than anything else like an elephant farting...I think Tuba would be a better instrument.
