Another random crazy angry old white guy encounter. Only a couple of days after the old dude called a gal I was in a group with a *****. Today old dude is driving by me as I was walking over by Lake Harriet and he lowers his window and calls me a ****, the c word that rhymes with bunt. Dang. Walk a another 100 feet or so and guy packing up his sailboat onto a trailer asks me if I've seen anything (I was carrying binoculars and camera...obviously birding). Told him no and I'd just gotten here but some cray cray just called me a ****. He said same guy drove by him and swore at him just before that. What the hell is wrong with these people.

Always wonder how much those things attract vs just trap what is around. Kind of like the Japanese Beetle things.Wife got one of those HyVee water bag fly traps. She must have horrible smell because for a week, the youngest and I could smell something like rotting meat, but finally yesterday she could smell it and I could pitch it. Put up one of those ugly strips instead and will toss it if someone comes over, but they work the best and don’t make you want to toss your cookies.
I liked "Get Out". I haven't seen "Us". We watched "Nope", and we figured the name was accurate, as in: Nope, we won't bother watching that again.Watched Nope last night on Prime.
What the heck kind of a mess was that?
As long as it gets rid of the flies, I don’t care what it doesAlways wonder how much those things attract vs just trap what is around. Kind of like the Japanese Beetle things.
Question about these electric rideshare scooters. Aren't you supposed to drop them off at designated locations?
I see them just lying on the side of the road in all sorts of random places as if someone rode it until the battery died and then just left it.
You are supposed to yes. In CR you get a small nearly worthless discount for returning it to designated spots.Question about these electric rideshare scooters. Aren't you supposed to drop them off at designated locations?

In DC, my kid chained it to the wrong spot, about a half a block away and they were going to fine him like $100 or so. I was able to get it unlocked and moved to the right spot. Although they charged me for an extra 15 minutes.Question about these electric rideshare scooters. Aren't you supposed to drop them off at designated locations?

Oh, yes, Captain Bobby. He was great to work with - I know some other controllers (and the CR police) would get ticked off if he was covering something the police were working (and, in their opinion, getting “in the way”) but he was always within the rules.Just saw KCRG do a special on the Washington, Iowa tornado that was 25 years ago today. I remember watching the live coverage after school that day. It was absolutely one of "those days" where it was just warm and super muggy, you just knew something was going to happen. Part of the special was an interview with helicopter pilot "Captain Bobby". I bet @KidSilverhair has a number of stories from working his flights. I remember numerous times during severe weather coverage where he would pause his commentary to respond to CID ATC.
Those were the days KCRG had a helicopter and so did the police. Well technically they had two or three right?Oh, yes, Captain Bobby. Now the pilot KCRG had before him, Steve Austin (yes, that was his name) lost his piloting job when he broke into a bar to steal some neon signs.
They ever drop turkeys from them? Those were the days KCRG had a helicopter and so did the police. Well technically they had two or three right?
