Any woman that has the same first name as my daughter, I can’t find hot. It feels wrong if I do. Why I always said I could never marry a woman with the same first name as one of my sisters or mom. It would have been instant birth control.
I am known by my middle name. Mrs Velo has told me that she never would have dated me if I was known by my first name. She has a 300+ lb. cousin known by that name.

Just read an article about Clint Eastwood not appearing in public for over 400 days and speculation about his health. They quoted some doctor who has never treated him speculating about osteoporosis. What kind of quack do you have to be to go on the record speculating about someones health when you only can reference pictures and video of the person? Lame.

EDIT: and year old pictures and video to boot.

I didn't hide it but it isn't like it comes up in conversation so it was probably a couple of months into the relationship. Her cousin goes by a nickname from the first name - you know like a James-Jim type of thing. I would have been known by the same nickname if things had turned out differently.

I was incredibly lucky to land someone so out of my league.

Not exactly sure.

The brock purdy situation had some similarities. although you could see how the injury occurred, you have no idea unless you see the MRI. Their was a quack on about what is wrong with him and what needs to happen. Some doctors are just so arrogant that they think they can diagnose anything, even without seeing any evidence.

Well, most people named Gomer are nicknamed Goober. So what did you expect?

Yeah, that was the first one that really caught my attention. Then this one happened and my thought was why do people who are supposed to live by the Hippocratic Oath do this shady ****.

Gomer and Goober were cousins. It is interesting that they played those thankless roles while George Lindsey (Goober) was a hilarious stand-up comic and Jim Nabors (Gomer) was an incredible singer.

EDIT: To be clear, the characters were cousins, Lindsey and Nabors were not.

There was one doctor that had a video up before the game ended with the correct diagnosis. Of course he dealt with those type of injuries before and said that his diagnosis was the most likely diagnosis considering how the injury happened

Speaking of people you haven't seen in a while, when was the last time anyone heard from Ted Turner?

Would you call the cops on a hit and run? Said eccentrinc neighbor must have his tranny on his truck tied into going into reverse whenever he starts it. Woke up to hear this big bang noise this morning. I look out and he backed into his son's car.

I agree with this. Luckily, our oldest daughter has a name that few famous people have and the people with our youngest daughter's name tend to be pretty young (or old, dead men).

I have the same first name as my two best friends from college. Therefore, we were generally known by derivations of our last names. My given derivation was an actual first name (if a bit dated even in the late 80s). It was common for people that we met to not know our real names for several weeks after meeting them.

My second year of college I moved into a triple on Dana with another friend who lived there. We hoped we would not get assigned anyone. ISU in their infinite wisdom, assigned us someone with the same first and last name as friend who lived there. I wondered if it was some joke. Fortunately that assigned person rushed a frat so I didn’t have two roomies with the same name.

That is crazy and was absolutely done on purpose by some housing intern giggling in their cubicle.
