I used to get in trouble with Mrs. Velo on those rare occasions I would go with her to Target. I would pick up the full bags before the receipt came out and it would sense the weight change and stop the transaction. I hadn't added weight but picked up the purchases but it still didn't like it."Unexpected item in bagging area"
They have done this a couple of times this year. Good time to buy.
Local fare way’s liquor store is bad.Fareway has yet to have any liquor sales like Hy-Vee does though.
Hy-vee has it at this price at least 5-6 times the past year alone, although they usually limit 2 lb. With self checkout though, it's pretty much unlimited just have to do separate transactions.
I’ve done the same thing. Just that if you use the same debit card, for the same amount, it thinks something is wrong and it will not process. Learned to get a couple other things to resolve that issue.Hy-vee has it at this price at least 5-6 times the past year alone, although they usually limit 2 lb. My first time gambling when I was 10 years old at the county fair betting at Heinhold hog races And then going over to the mice races. The police stopped that after one year. The second time was at hY vee when I was 11. Hyvee would give out cards to shoppers on horse races. It gave you your winner and then you had to turn on WOI or WHO at 4:30 or 5:00 and watch the race to see if your horse won. Does anyone remember that? They geared it to kids because they came right after cartoons and hogan’s heroes.
That is more burger than we would eat in a year!!!
Last few times I've purchased ground beef at Hy Vee (85%), it has been around $6/lb
My wife used to buy 93% lean from stores. I like to have 90% lean if possible. The markup form 85 to 93 was pretty steep for a while. I would buy half 85 and half 93 and that would end up as 89% (right about where I wanted) but end up saving about a dollar a pound in the end. Grilling 93% lean is bearcat as there isn't enough fat to hold it together very well.Last few times I've purchased ground beef at Hy Vee (85%), it has been around $6/lb
Yeah, I found that the really lean stuff doesn't hold together well too. Usually go 85% for that reason. My wife used to buy 93% lean from stores. I like to have 90% lean if possible. I remember the 70% lean stuff in college. Start with a giant burger, have a bunch of flare ups and end up with a McDonalds sized patty after its done. 85 was the very lean then.
Waiting for the first Hy-Vee Oxygen Bar.They just can't stick to groceries, can they?

If I get one more email from them asking to refinance my mortgage with them, I'm going to print it out and use it as kindling to burn down their headquarters.
