***2022-23 MBB General Thread***

I posted in "Bracket Discussion" thread ... perhaps it's a no-brainer, but Wisconsin, North Carolina and Michigan are going to be OUT.

Oklahoma State is teetery -- losing to UT doesn't hurt anything, but could use asap losses by Arizona State and Utah State ... might be able to leap Nevada (another "dead" team in context of league tourneys)

OSU has some nice wins and a brutal schedule (like everyone in the Big 12). I think once the committee puts these teams side by side, they will definitely be in.

K-State is my pick for a 1st round exit in the NCAA tournament. TCU is rolling them right now. I could see a 14 seed beating them

Ref just took away a free throw from Arizona State for taking too long to shoot. Haven’t seen that enforced since the 1980s. To top it off, I only counted four on the replay so it was a bad call on top of it not typically being enforced.

Dozens of people in the arena witnessed it too.

Funny that you mentioned it. The first time I ever noticed a ref counting out on a free throw attempt was Saturday. I've been watching basketball for forty years. Not sure how that escaped me.

Joe Lunardi has Oklahoma State in his last four in. I don’t think so. Tonight was a must win vs. Texas and they didn’t get it done.
Agree, their non-conference was a joke and they have two bad losses to Southern Illinois and UCF.

Most of their big 12 wins were beating up on us twice, Oklahoma, and Tech. They were 0-8 against the top 4. That's a NIT resume if I've ever seen one.

Penn State, Rutgers, Utah State , Clemson should all be ahead of them in the bubble order.

All of those teams would have a worse record with OSU's schedule

I don't mind Penn State getting in. They don't make it very often and I like the stories of guys just having a chance in the event. Their coach has some good things going in year 2.

They're not great by any means but I can see them hanging with a lot of teams and having a chance.

They have two big guards/wings that are fun to watch, and could cause some problems against some teams. Not a whole lot going on after that.

And besides, Penn State sends us a lot of good transfers.o_O
