José Andrés.
The work he does for disaster relief is fantastic.

In that same vein, Willie Ray Fairley out of Cedar Rapids. He helped out so many after the Derecho, and now will travel to large scale disasters so folks can eat.

Willie Ray is an amazing human being for sure!

that’s who I was going to say.

But your example also brings up a good point: there are contrarians, ********, and people who love to tear others down. That also applies to Mr. Rogers. So the fact that someone somewhere doesn’t like them (if for a terrible/not serious reason) doesn’t mean they aren’t universally beloved.

How about Weird Al? I know he's a goofball, but he seems very likeable. A friend of mine met him a few years ago, and said he's a super nice guy.
Wouldn’t he kind of be like Tom Hanks though? To be clear, I agree with you on Weird Al. Everything I’ve heard is that is an incredibly nice guy and I like his music. But I could see someone saying “Weird Al? Not a fan of his music”

Based on my reaction scores here I am universally loved. But don't let that fool you. In real life, I am a very big Ahole.

I think I'm the opposite on here. Pretty much everyone hates me.... but oh well.... I'm really not that bad.... just enjoy stirring up conversation.

Another example of probably a perfectly nice human being.... but can't think of one single movie of his I like... although I openly admit I wouldn't even bother wasting my time watching most of his movies. But to each their own.

Ever watch Ballers on HBO? He has a lot of decently fine family movies that the kids enjoy too.

I said "to each their own". If kids enjoy his movies, good. If anyone enjoys his movies, good for them, I'm glad they do.

I just gave my opinion.
