Woah, I thought it was obvious Texas was getting games rigged in its favor but this is even worse

Another symptom. Conference realignment and tv are driving this. It’s a business. Too much money on the line to allow outcomes driven by 22 year olds. Good news is that falls are beautiful in the Midwest. I have found other things to do and I’m in a better place.

Is there a penalty for a coach trying to call a time out in the middle of a play? I’m thinking long run and you know the other team is going to score and you get in the refs ear screaming for a timeout, hoping they instinctively blow the whistle?

Apparently that was an inadvertent whistle, which sucks, but that can happen.

But that's not what the ref said when he announced what had happened. He said there was a timeout called.

I wondered what in the hell was going on as I was watching this last night. I thought they were going to come back and set the clock from 8 secs down to about 2 or 3 secs.... but instead they added 5 secs! I didn't know what in the world was going on?

The ref said there was a timeout called.... when?..... in the middle of the play? The clock stopped for about 5 secs, so I thought they would take about 5 secs off the clock, not add it on.

Feel like red splatter on the helmets was a bold choice.

I must have missed that. Looked like a the only red on the helmets was the number 22 on the back of the helmet with the initials and the jerseys they had put on the deceased players pictures

And at the end of that play, the USC player clearly pushes the Utah player out of bounds and there wasn’t a unsportsmanlike call!
I noticed that little nugget, too.

Apparently, the time frame between the interception and referee explanation was wiped from existence, so I guess the hit out of bounds didn't occur.

No way should that have been pass interference, the defender is between the receiver and the ball, the receiver climbs the back of the defender and they call it on the defense. Should have been offensive pass interference, but its never called. No way should the offensive player be allowed to go over the back of the defender to catch the ball, because if it was flipped around, the defender doing it, they would call it every time. Well except in ISU case verses KSU a few years ago.

How do you go over the back of someone when they're facing you?
