NFL: ***2022 NFL Season Thread***

On top of just being downright absurd, the whole roughing the QB rule feels maybe just a tinge racist given the lack of protection given to other positions.

Each time they call this they should be required to send some NFL office need to the facility to demonstrate how they should have done it differently.
Huh?

It's literally for marketing purposes since the most recognized individual NFL player group is the QB group. If they start getting hurt and not playing, less viewers. They will never admit it but that is why only QBs get the good ol boy treatment.

Agreed. I hate the way the rule is enforced, but it's entirely about protecting the most valuable players (Quarterbacks). I understand the logic behind it. I just don't like it.

Davante Adams is such a special talent getting borderline wasted in Vegas

Hey Raiders, #87 in red is pretty good, you might want to put someone on him.

Lol, unreal how the best TE in football is just running around with no defender near him.
Punishment over?

I thought the Chiefs 2 point attempt was a head scratcher..then the Raiders go for 2 down by 1? What the..

Just torched double coverage.
That was a an amazing throw and catch.

Nobody will likely ever accuse Carr of being an elite quarterback, but the amount of talent that it takes to throw a ball 50 yards down the field with that kind of accuracy, to a guy who is running full speed, is nothing short of incredible.

I agree with whoever said it between Aikman and Buck. Going for 2 with less than a minute left makes some sense if you want to avoid OT. With 4+ mins left is way too much time, and if you get it and you happen to get a stop, Chiefs willing to punt instead of being in desperation mode to score. And if you don't get it they can salt the clock away like they're doing now
