Troy's 378 yard day against Missouri. I was 15 at the time and was at the game. One of my favorite games.
No kidding. I was a sophomore in the band at that game…Uffda, thanks for making me feel old.

Especially when he did it against defenses which knew exactly what was coming. One thing I think about is man did ISU have some studs in the OL during the Troy years. The fact he never won the Heisman and isn't talked about more in terms of great college backs in a true injustice.
It’s true greatness when everyone in the world knows you’re getting the ball and there’s not a god damn thing the defense can do about it to stop you.The fact he never won the Heisman and isn't talked about more in terms of great college backs in a true injustice.
That's part of what made it so hard to believe week after week for 2 years. Everybody knew we were going to run it and they couldn't slow him down.Especially when he did it against defenses which knew exactly what was coming. A sophomore… I was over twice your age at that point. Now that’s feeling old!No kidding. I was a sophomore in the band at that game…
He was absolutely indestructible. Just a cannon ball. That second video mentioning the UNI game the week before, wow. In 2 back to back games he carried it 94 times 619 yards and 9 TD's. That's a good season for some guys and he did that in 2 games.
With todays media coverage, everyone would know who is he is/was too.I don't know if this is sad or amazing, but just listen to how muted those crowd cheers were. I'm sure it was a really small crowd, but imagine something like that happening today, with the stadium packed. Oh My God.
We were lucky to have 25,000 at a game back then. Was at the game and got married that evening. The crowd did not seem that small at the game.
There were always lots of opposing team fans at Jack Trice back then.We were lucky to have 25,000 at a game back then.
