The Fighting Surlys drowned by Green Wave

I watched after the 1st Qt. Give Tulane some credit, their defense is pretty good & the QB & RB can play in any P5 conference. K-St was 2 or 3 out of 14 3rd downs and just as bad or worse when they went on 4th many times. Tulane really ate K-States OC for lunch. #31 RB for the Cats runs harder than #22 who is the preseason B12 offensive POY and Kleiman went to #31 a lot….justifiably. K-States D is good. What surprised me was their O-line which couldn’t get the push for 1 or 2 yds time after time. The loss hurts but Kleiman is a good coach & if the OC gets a clue they will be OK. Yes, it was a trap game and they received too much preseason hype….kinda like a team I can think of last year.

I put a tenner on Tulane moneyline +460. (pats self on back)

actually, wasn't confident they would win, but thought it was close enough that it was value at that number.

In reviewing the stats, you couldn't get a sheet of paper between these teams. The only thing that sticks out is K-State was 1-5 on 4th down tries, while Tulane was 1-1. Otherwise, with Mizzou last week, and OU coming up next week, there may have been a trap angle in play.

And Tulane’s conversion was a ballsy call. 4th and 1 on their own 24 with about 2 minutes left and KSU out of timeouts, down by 7. Tulane decides to go instead of punt and they get it to effectively end the game.
