AP Top 25 Poll

An example of not adjusting, here's voter w/ highest ranking for Notre Dame (#14). Has App State #23, after head-to-head defeat over ND.

In effort toward fairness, his preseason was Ohio State #2, ND #4, so the loss to Ohio State "does no damage." But why is loss to App State OK, yet you rank them 9 slots apart? ASU's only loss is to 3-0 UNC, by 2 points. Head-to-head doesn't mean everything, but when each team has played only 2 games, it has to mean something.

App State beat A&M. ND lost to Marshall.

I don’t want to shoot up the poll. We don’t need another 2021 where we are top Ten and everybody is looking to knock us off. Yes, we will gradually go up as the Cyclones win
I would gleefully shoot up the polls after beating Texas and OU back to back. Jihreltober, baby!

Or, you know, the team could actually learn how to play with expectations. If we want to be at the top of the Big 12 going forward we can't expect to hide in the shadows so nobody sees us coming. The team has to learn how to play with a target on its back and with the media singing its praises - and actually live up to all of that.

That seems odd to me. If it were close I could see it. Wasn’t expecting us to get ranked after beating a middle of the road MAC school, but we also didn’t do anything that should make a voter say “I don’t think they’re as good as I thought”.
