Happy to see Rory get the W. He has done so much for the tour this year with all the LIV stuff. He deserved this
Nobody knows…….. or cares. They will never have this kind of excitement. But they play for only money, not the excitement. Are they even playing? Probably not…. they hardly ever do.
So glad Rory pulled that off…. just another middle finger to the LIV Tour.

I thought it might be important that Rory played his way into the final group today. Probably provided a little more pressure than playing with Xander.

Cam Smith is the only real loss that I've seen so far.
As I've said he doesn't appear really invested in golf (so take the multi-millions payday, I guess?).
So far, the majority of defections are "foreign".
Does anyone really miss DJ, Koepka, or Patrick Reed?

yeah, how many of those guys will actually be competitive in the next 24 majors? 2? Maybe?

Top tens are competitive, but I'd agree with 2 in relationship to "threats to win".
Nobody cares about back door top 10's, competitive is going into the back 9 on Sunday with a chance to win.

Still more than 2, maybe more like 6 or 7. Cam obviously, dj could win another, brooks if he’s healthy, Bryson is good enough to have a chance, Oosthuizen, Ancer sometimes, Niemann maybe in another few years.
They’ll continue to fall in the world rankings, they don’t have an unlimited window.
The first two are the ones I was referring to, you're extremely optimistic about the rest of them. It's not impossible that one of the others competes at a major in the next 6 years, especially the young guys but there's a reason they haven't been competitive in this years majors. Will Brooks ever be healthy again? Will Bryson's swing hold up long enough? What happened to Louis Oosthuizen this year, he's been awful. If it's age, that won't get any better.
I think saying they weren't competitive this year so they probably won't be competitive anymore seems short sighted. Nobody knows if they'll be competitive for sure, but they have the talent to be and have been recently even if not this year for all of them.
Smith and Neiman are the first two players to leave for the LIV that I'm going to miss watching but it won't last long. Lots of young talent showed up this season to be excited about when next season starts!
