Need to get recruiting this kid

His dad did T&F at Missouri, his mom did T&F at SMU. Hopefully, those ties are not too strong.

This is obviously not the point of the thread or story, but isn't the idea of bench press to be on a bench so the bar goes all the way to your chest?

Maybe a safety thing? There have been stories of people on bench press dropping the bar on their neck. This would solve that particular risk.

The biggest question is what sport to recruit him for? Currently built for basketball. Put on the pounds and football. Follow his dad and go track and field?

His dad used to get a lot of love from the crowd at the drake relays year in and year out. He holds the relays shot put record which held up this year despite the newly crowned world record holder competing.

Hawkeyes have brought in some of the best shot putters in Iowa history and immediately turns them into offensive linemen and doesn't share them with the track squad. It worked out for scherff and wirfs. One would think they'd be all over him for football

It has not always worked out though. It might be before your time but look up Blake Larsen.

As long as Mizzou sucks we should be in that state for everyone who's talented there. We're a better program right now than Missouri, K State, and KU. We have a lot to sell to Missouri talent.
That part of Missouri is Razorback country.
