There’s something to be said for flagship u in growth states.I really think you would have to think hard about Colorado. They really add nothing, there are no positives to adding them.

Bitter from, what year was that?Let Standford go to D3. Since they think of themselves as an Ivy League school, they can go play at that level with them.
I see them going WCC but independent in football. OSU and WSU to Mountain West. Cal I have no guess which way they'd go.Let Standford go to D3. Since they think of themselves as an Ivy League school, they can go play at that level with them.
My main point is Iowa by every measure is ahead of approximately half of the B10 teams. Rutgers, Maryland, Purdue and Indiana would most certainly be the first ones cut out. If they are going to move to one super conference of say 24 teams, I’d then be worried. I don’t think they’d ever pare it down that far because Goliath still needs plenty of David’s.

Purdue and Indiana bring the Indianapolis market which is a flagship Big 10 city.
Some interesting (maybe BS) stuff from a guy who appears to be plugged in with the B1G. The whole thread here is interesting.
This would suggest that those are the four top TV brands remaining in the Pac-12. If Notre Dame goes B1G, the idea is apparently that Oregon will go with them; if not, there is a chance that Oregon and Washington both get in.
But as relevant to the B12, both of those schools plus Utah and ASU would be good additions to the Big 12 from FOX’s perspective.
Jon Wilner had some skepticism earlier that might have been more about Arizona and Colorado. If the B1G takes Oregon and ND, we should obviously take Washington, Utah, and ASU, but I think it would be an interesting question whether we take 1 or 3 of Arizona, Colorado, Cal, and Stanford after that. Personally I think it would be 3, we’d go to 18, and one of the Bay Area schools would be left out. But it would be funny to exclude Colorado.
Gross tweet by fox college sports.
I don't know if I buy that Utah number, but regardless, what vison of Warren would be having two schools on an island?
I just don't see how at least UW and Oregon are not added. And although academics don't matter, the BIG presidents would sign off their revenue lead being smaller for Stanford and Berkeley being Big 10 brands imo. I think they override the networks and go with at least 6, the blue bloods of the Pac 12. This also best preserves Rose Bowl value imo.
No clue about this guy, but rumor stuff
I honestly think as much as I'd love them, there's zero stability incentive to add Washington and Oregon because they'd bolt in a second. If this rumor is true, Washington and Oregon to the Big 10 is just a matter of time, which means Arizona, ASU, Utah, and Colorado all see the writing on the wall - and Stanford and Cal either are also going to the Big 10 or nobody wants to deal with their insanity anymore.
Still, it's nice to be included, even if this is just clickbait.Kind of gives off market research vibes, doesn’t it?
Been to the College World Series more recently than Iowa has.How is your baseball team doing?

I go back and forth. If you can hold them for 10 years at least and use them to help build the XII brand more, then maybe mess with them, but it’s a bad look to have them and then have them bolt.I honestly think as much as I'd love them, there's zero stability incentive to add Washington and Oregon because they'd bolt in a second.
Want in? Sure. Your buyout will be very, very large.
Revenue projections
Iowa State has zero percent chance at the SEC and a tenth of a percent at the B1G.Nice to see ISU on there. If the ACC is off limits, then we have a realistic shot at getting into a 20-team Big 10 or a 20-team SEC. It's probably more realistic that they stand pat at 16 or 18 teams for the next 10 years.
