Also, it is possible that most teams left him alone because he was so bad first 2/3 of the season

There could be some factor of that, but I suspect that is overwhelmed by the fact that the last half of the season he was playing against some of the best defenses in the country in the Big 12 and LSU.

I don't think he's going to be a lights out shooter, but I think he'll be good enough that combined with his ability to get to the rim and defend, he's going to have a really good year.

The kid is super tough and competes like a MF. He's going to be damn good and it's a big loss.

But what about that 3 minute stretch against some team in some game where he went 0-2 from 3 and turned it over twice? He should just give up basketball!

He did suck pretty bad against Wisconsin. I hate to say it, but he looked a little like a freshman playing the toughest position on the floor against a top 25 team in essentially a home game.

Most likely he won’t. A good shooter doesn’t miss like he did last year
Where are all of your Hunter being a bad shooter posts during the season? Or did that only start after he left?

despite his percentage being less than ideal, there are plenty of players that I cringe every they take a three-point shot, knowing it had no chance. I don’t remember doing that once with Hunter.

I feel like it was mentioned by talking heads several times throughout the year that TH is a “situational shooter”. You don’t want him to NOT shoot, because the flow he’s in, the current situation of the game, and the overall disposition of the game matters to his shooting.

At 27% 3 point shooting I’d take my chances. He had a handful of games all year where he shot a good percentage

I think his 3 Pt % is a bit skewed because a lot of those attempts were late in shot clock and the only option was to heave a rushed 3 pointer. That said I don't ever see him being a 40% 3 point shooter.

I mean have we seen this reported anywhere besides Pollard, no offense to Pollard but he has been known to exaggerate this kinda stuff.
There’s really no way for a reporter to confirm that. I seriously doubt Pollard says that publicly if he’s not sure it’s true. I suppose there’s a chance they got smart and backed out of the agreement.
