In terms of scoring and shooting, yes. But with the departure of Hunter, the team needs a PG now. I'm not sure Green can be a full time PG in the Big 12, and I'm not confident in relying on Jeremiah Williams and Lipsey at the point.
Having another guard like this on the team takes some of that pressure away. Could run Williams and Green together, and both could initiate offense.

Absolutely, I would never turn him down. But even if they do land him, I would like them to still try to pick up a natural point guard that can facilitate, and keep the ball moving.

At the very least, another guard/wing that can handle the ball like Williams and Green, because Grill can't, and we don't know for sure what we have with King and Lipsey.

Defense normally translates Imo. Williams shouldn’t be too much of a step back from what Hunter was last year, and at 6’5” some increased versatility on that end. Ideally on less usage on offense, shifting some to a front court guy like BVP. He’s more a linear pg, some PnR, but no a break down the defense and hit a contested shot guy.

What Hunter was hopefully becoming? A big step back. Although it’s interesting how easily I assume a career pg like Hunter will improve a lot but Williams is Williams

Check bounced?
I guess his main recruiter left to go to the Georgia staff. So you wonder, is that where he ends up? Or the NIL got involved...again. Suck if you were a Clemson fan. Not that it matters, but I see he was born in the same Canada town as Naz Long. (referring to a previous post about Liewellyn)

Same. Although I think it's because Williams already had the Fr to So transition without an increase in production. However, it's interesting to note Williams only played 16 games his first year, and 22 his second, so 38 total. Hunter played 35 games last year.

Likewise on using a freshman-sophomore to extrapolate.
The odd thing is had that been a 5th year prep year instead of 16 games on one of the most ineffective offenses in a conference basically at the P12 level, I’d be more prone to think growth.

I think it’s still correct to use the lack of change as a reason to temper growth expectations, but Hunter’s expectations are based more in not having as much to go on. It’s reasonably possible he would also struggle to show stat growth as COVID sophomore while in a bad offense and dealing with an injury(?).

Great point about the game count. When did he injure the shoulder?

That was the game he got hurt. Played 12 minutes, and had to come out. He actually tried to play again on February 24th against Memphis. Didn't start, but played 17 minutes, and then didn't play in Temple's final 4 games.

Wild, he cut us at one point. Guess we're back in it or he has outdated news
Guessing it could be outdated. Or left on list for notoriety. But if not.....at 6'8", I see he did take 151 3's and made over 36% of them. Not too shabby for a big. Not sure what he's like defensively. Turnovers is an ouch. This could mean we're out on Bates( lean to Butler rumor?)
