The fact UCONN gets to play as a 2 seed against NC State in Bridgeport, CONNECTICUT is absolutely bonkers. I hope NC State can steal this. Absolute disrespect to them from the committee.
Back in the day Geno went nuts when we had a chance at 4 on our floor to go to the final 4. Yet this is far from the first time UCONN has had 4 games in the state of CT to go to the final four.
Watching this game shows what a difference in athleticism these elite programs have compared to us.
That was the best women's bb game I've seen in a long time.
Page Bueckers. Man, did she step up in the OT's.

UCONN and NC State are both phenomenal teams. The fact NC State had to play in Connecticut against the University of Connecticut as a 1 seed is stupid, and I will die on that hill. There were questionable calls that went UCONN's way. Hoping Louisville or South Carolina can take care of business.
Absolutely agree - also shows why Bueckers is the BEST point guard in the country (Em Ryan excluded). She was so efficient in the second half and OT and ran the offense so well.
Seeing a knock down mid range jumper is so rewarding to watch these days since it barely exists see Bueckers/ Brockington.
Other than losing the shooter on that inbounds three pointer she had an almost flawless 2OT.
I don’t think that’s real bias, just true appreciation. As I watched this game, I kept thinking about how much I enjoy watching her “not miss” compared with the young lady East on I-80.
I like them both. Different players on different teams that need them to do different things. Page doesn't really need to go scoring machine, or even huge assist machine, with a slew of other 4 and 5 stars on the team. With that said, Geno has said before she needs to look to score more herself. Some Minnesotans are still salty about her going to UConn but she's heading to a Final Four and that would not have happened with the Gophers where she would have had to go full scoring machine with a mediocre squad. She wouldn't have a gazillion social media followers at Minnesota either.
Coming off of that injury those OT periods were amazing.
