You posted making fun of people who are interested in this news, then did the decent thing and wished him well, then deleted that, and now you're back to making fun of people.
you're right but Greg's situation is insanely unique. He not only got a job a very good mid major with stronger support (the NCAA can prove just how strong)than the majority of p6 schools, they play in a sports crazy city, had an NBA style arena, his under the radar son blew up to the NPOY, they moved up to a p6 conference...I think Greg can coach and he's proven himself the last 7 or 8 years but it's hard to imagine the stars aligning any more for someone than they did for him.
I also don't think people really realize exactly how good a program Creighton has been the last 25 years and how well Omaha supports them. When they were still in the Valley, they had advantages no other mid major had, including Gonzaga. It's been a great job for decades.

He doesn't have those two years. Murray's top 7 from this year are gone.
He's got to rebuild that roster immediately.
I held an irrational grudge against McDermott after he left. There was no reason for it, the guy was first class all the way and had some bad luck. I was tired of losing, I guess. But life's too short...if someone does the job with class and dignity, he has my support wherever he goes.
If you only like the guys who succeed - as success is defined in college athletics - there aren't going to be very many people for you to like.
I did not say it was THT's fault. That kid did what he had to do to make the league and I don't blame him one bit. It's Prohm's fault for not following up that recruiting class with another good one. And not doing well enough in the portal to replace THT. Everyone knew he was likely gone after that Maui tournament.

My dream is a Prohm led Murray St (as a 12 Seed) taking out Iowa (5 Seed) in the tourney.
He went 29-6 (15-0) in 2015 in a one bid league his last year. Won nearly 80% of his games at Murray State.
The negotiation was done at the signing of the contract, correct? Negotiation at the end would aim to be mutually beneficial if that occurred.
Murray State and every other mid major that has nice players.
But there’s a difference between reading a thread for entertainment and posting that you don’t care. Why do you think we need to know whether you care about a topic?
Prohm is really well suited for Murray for all of the obvious reasons plus his connections to the southeast and the Midwest from his time here. With Murray joining the MVC, he knows enough to be dangerous recruiting north and west from his campus, but he is also comfortable going south and east (like he did here which wasn't a good fit).
Prohm at Murray could become the top MVC program and it would not surprise me at all.
