I rest my case.So .....why is showering naked with other students a part of growing up? I ended up using some of the math where I told my teacher "I'll never use this", but my group showering seems to be a skill I didn't really need.

What school district(s)?I refused to believe it the first time I was told this, but have been told by three different people, that I generally trust, that schools are putting kitty litter in their restrooms due to students identifying as cats.
What I was told is that 2 schools in Central Iowa have already done this and one more is being threatened with a lawsuit from the parents to do it. Was told that one of the schools at least claimed it was unsanitary for staff to clean so were requiring the parents to come into school and clean the litter box that has been set up for their children.
(Mods - if this needs to be moved to another forum, go for it)
You believe everything everyone tells you?
This isn't happening, but I see what your trying to do and the sad thing is that it will probably work.

Stopped "making" kids take showers after gym, practice, or athletic events some 25 years ago. All downhill from there.
What school district(s)?
Dude/Dudette,
I am not trying to do anything. Just sharing information. Simple as that. I didn't really believe the first time I heard it, but when other people from other schools say the same thing is happening I considered sharing it here. And, if you believe what others have posted, it is happening in more schools that what I heard.
This is an amazing level of stupidity on multiple levels. These schools are so scared of lawsuits. There should be a “common sense” law in place to prevent ******** like this.
Schools have kept cat litter on hand for a long time for things like vomit
And no, this otherwise seems like it has been a meme spread by transphobic people, if you do something as simple as Google "cat litter school" you see a bunch of results showing that

However, if you want to bury your head in the sand - go ahead.
I'm almost positive some of the baseball infields I played on were kitty litter.Schools have kept cat litter on hand for a long time for things like vomit

If that is all that this is, then I apologize. However, that was not the tenor of the conversations that I was in and that potential aspect wasn't brought up.
I think this is easily verified. Someone from one or more of these districts want to contact the local paper from each community to confirm? What I was told was Ankeny, North Polk, and West Marshall.
How about a link that is not from an insane right wing slanted site or a story that has any facts or evidence and not just heresay as its basis?
I'll take any evidence.
This is a fake story going around and the same suckers that fall for all this kind of crap are falling for it again.
I told you exactly what I heard from three people in my community. The only repercussions that were discussed further was that someone should teach the parents involved how to set limits for their kids.
As I said in my last post - if we all fell for some conspiracy - I apologize. But the different people I heard from aren't into that kind of discussion.
And, if it is a toll job, then you can help me educate others.
Lawsuits and lower enrollment, staff cuts etc.
I agree but it's a slippery slope and it's not new.
Well, the kitty litter thing is new if it's actually a thing.
Parents making a mess out of everything possible isn't.
* This sounds exactly like a bad-faith story someone might float to make other issues about personal identity seem more silly - like the ever-popular “I identify as an attack helicopter hur dur.”
