We show up on the SC board because unlike ISU fans we get along with the fans of the teams we play. ISU fans make it impossible to like them even if you try and I've tried. Stick around here long enough and you wont like either.

If we end up with Bama v. Georgia I won't be watching. Been there, done that. What are everyone's thought's on the upcoming CFP matchups? I will be tough, but I wouldn't mind seeing Cincy beat Bama, and I want Michigan to beat Georgia. If the talking heads are correct, however, we'll see a Bama vs. Georgia final, and in that case I have to pull for Bama. But Bama vs. Michigan will be more interesting in my opinion; Bama I think now has beaten Georgia 8 times in a row and who wants to see #9 in a row? The Ga vs. Mich game is intriguing, and I think Ga will be doubting themselves, knowing Bama might be waiting, and Mich seems to have some momentum with them. In a Mich vs Bama duel I want both teams to lose....LOL.....

Yeah, he is top notch. Currently projected as a top two round draft pick. Can't blame him for going. He has done so much for ISU FB, it is time to go and live his dream.Cyclones lost a stud RB for game in Hall, would be similar to Clemson losing Travis Etienne I assume....
I only know one Hawkeye fan, so it's a small sample size.... One thing I did notice, however, he was a huge "Big10 Fan". This was back in the 80's, and it's before the whole conference allegiance scenario was a big deal (like it is nowadays with SEC fans). Our feathered friends at SC play up the whole SEC thing even if they're last in the conference. The average Clemson fan tends to eschew the conference deal (for various reasons)...
I've heard this from a few ACC fans. Kinda convenient when the conference is struggling. I cheer for the Big 12, but Big 10 and SEC fans take it to another level. It makes sense for Iowa fans to latch on to their Big 10 East buddies.
Had a business buddy who worked for J.A. Jones Construction out of Atlanta. Clemson Engineering Grad, hell of a guy, we worked on a project together in Peoria, Illinois in the 80s. Real testament to your University and the quality people they graduate, and I'm a born Midwesterner, so I was skeptical at first of the "Southerner", but the 100 M+ project was in trouble, and he became my go to guy, and we finished it.Yes, SEC fans do take the conference thingy to another level, which makes almost zero sense, and I know this from having to deal with SC fans. What good in the world does it do SC's FB program for Alabama and the SEC to be powerhouse types? Since joining the SEC in 1991, SC has exactly *1* SEC division FB title (and lost in the title game to Auburn 56-17) and exactly *ZERO* SEC conference titles. 30 years of futility just to chant "SEC, SEC!" at Clemson games......

Something about "ignorant redneck" *wink*Glad to hear that: why were you skeptical about the "Southerner""?

The guy starting in Hall's place is Jirehl Brock, who was actually a higher rated recruit than Hall was. This is his chance to show how good he can be.Cyclones lost a stud RB for game in Hall, would be similar to Clemson losing Travis Etienne I assume....
I didn't watch the preview so I can't comment on the context, but Dabo seems to be a bit polarizing - particularly when it comes to his past quotes on paying players. I think when you've have as much success as he and Clemson have had, you're bound to have some haters. I personally like Dabo and continue to be impressed with what he has turned Clemson in to.CycloneFanatics Cheezit Bowl preview: on the whole a fair and balanced look at upcoming bowl game, only two real points from the Clemson side; 1.) "The Big 12 physical style of play" and if Clemson could handle that? Clemson has won 4 in a row over Auburn (SEC), 7 in a row vs SC (SEC), split 4 games with Alabama (SEC), beat Ohio State 2 out of last 3 (Big10) and beat Oklahoma (Big12) 3 in a row (2 were blow outs) and split last two vs Georgia, so I'm not sure why the physicality is even an issue. Also, what is the whole "do you love Dabo or hate him thing"?.

"Dabo. love him or hate him" thread: He's been criticized on a national level because of his religion by a journalist from the Atlanta Journal Constitution (who is Jewish), and by an atheist group known as the "Freedom From Religion Foundation". and also by several fan groups known as the Buckeyes and the Gamecocks. But that seems to be about it....
