Unfortunately it’s time to become uncool. Buy the minivan. It’s the best and most economical option.

(just saw a commercial for pre made drink mixers—one was a mixer for whiskey sour……. So basically squirt? How difficult is that?)

the other option is the Suburban. Half the fuel economy but can tow your camper if needed.
We had a Dodge Caravan for most of my kids' childhood, and they all learned to drive with it. 7 passenger w/ two rear seats and a bench seat behind those. A great family car, with lots of room.

Not exactly sure.

We had a 98 grand caravan. Was beat hard after we got the suburban. Was what carried about every team of our kids’. Baseball/softball was the worst with the cleats. Had some quirks that made it become a little unreliable. Could haul stuff too if you pulled the seats out.

Unplugged the inflatable Christmas decorations and put rocks on them. MrsWx suggested bringing them back in. This falls under the category of wife suggestion more work than is needed when she is not doing said work.
We have friends in CR who have a HUGE, musically-synced display with a bunch of inflatables. Don't know how they will handle it.

Met with spring's department chair to talk syllabus stuff.
Not sure that the other new adjuncts (who I know, including my TA from a couple years ago) are having this meeting, or if it's a reflection of "confidence" in me.

Z went along. This one is her favorite department chair. Kiddo took notes along with me and made sure to show off her cursive writing, which looks really good.

Anyone else getting these in their emails? We've received two in the last week. One from "Raphaelt Chauvink", and the other from "Teessfay Neetfrren". I am NOT making these names up! Their email addies are gmail accounts. Really really BAD fakes. The only problem is, each comes with an attachment (which I did NOT click...I'm not stupid). Unfortunately, many people ARE. If the attachment doesn't work, they hook people by telling them they can cancel the charge by calling a helpline number - and then giving them all their card information so that the charge can be cancelled. Yikes!

Funny thing is, we will NEVER AGAIN have Norton. We had it way back in the early days when our boys were in high school and we all shared one computer at home. They were completely oblivious to using caution on downloads, and we ended up with the Monkey virus...no orangutan jokes please, it was a BAD virus! Cost us bucks (that we really didn't have back then) and time to get it removed & get our computer back up and running. Changed virus protection software at the same time.

One school's LMS is down. That rules out my desperate grading binge for them right now.
I'm concerned. My contract there ends sometime Sunday, and the grading deadline is Monday.
I'm gonna tell everyone tomorrow that anything after Saturday isn't guaranteed. Some schools (ISU being the prime example) cut you completely off from all the networks at some point on that final day of the contract.

I don't like how this is wrapping up. I smell trouble. Can't do anything other than that, though, so it is what it is.

So your students have done the work? You want to give them the grades, but the day your contract runs out you can't finish the job? Well hope it all works out in the end.

Well, some have done the work.
LMS is back online, so the binge is on. This one is so clunky and slow. I miss Blackboard and every other LMS right now.

I've got a contingency plan where I'll just fill in final grades Saturday night based on how much people have or haven't turned in. It all sorta works out in the sense that it gets finished.

My wife and I had the same. Had the shots at the same time but we each had a different brand
Can I ask what made you decide to get the booster? Was it just precaution or did you test AB levels? Or something else? Not questioning you getting it, just curious
