The amount of money Isheem Young is going to get is not going to be anything that will be life changing.
Why does it need to be? Would you tell your friend in college not to leave for 20k? 50k?

He may not be getting life changing money, but soon guys like him will be.

He is a top college safety. Top college football programs spend millions each year just hoping to land a guys that could develop into players like him, then even more money trying to develop them. He's easily worth 100k just in cost avoidance. Add in his market value, and it would be cheap for a booster to spend 200k on some bs NIL scheme to land him.

I figured one CB would transfer as Anthony Johnson is staying, but losing Young is no Bueno. Time for Malik Verdon to step up.

if he’s gonna get paid and that’s best for him and his family then go do your thing young man.

ISU needs to adapt to survive, the players have the power now. For every Isheem there could be a Breece or a Brock or a Kolar who decide to stay here for reasons that we can control and that is what we should do

How is all this nonsense non-profit when people are get paid to play a sport. You know...like professional athletes that pay taxes.

That would be sad if Isheem Young ended up at Penn State. They dropped Young like a bad habit when he got into trouble in high school and ISU offered him a second chance when he didn't have a lot of other options. I'd like to say so much for his gratitude, but I don't know Isheem's current situation and he's provided ISU with 2 outstanding years, so I'll just wish him well I guess.

This is where people need to focus. Is has never been the money that has made ISU a destination for athletes. It's the passion the fanbase has, the sense of community, and the underdog status. That will always be what makes ISU special. However, if we have fans that are jumping off the deep end and no longer want to support football because they sense we're falling behind, then we will truly fall behind.
