Sorry perhaps I should have put the spoiler tag on although admittedly I don’t think I spoiled anything at all. Was very vague in my comment.
It's fine. If people can't handle that as a spoiler time to stay out of the thread.

Ibut an entire series' purpose should never be to simply establish a new character.
In this case I think it is.
Definitely got the end of Ep 4 and went "And?". The interactions between Clint and Kate have been the strength of the show, but at some point they are going to need to do a bit more to drive the story to a satisfying conclusion.
Me too. I have enjoyed just watching Renner and Steinfeld work together. Their chemistry is fantastic to me anyway. But yes I am hoping for something in the home stretch here.I'm hoping for a hot and heavy last 2 episodes
Didn't realize there were only 6 episodes... Yeah feels like we havent gotten into much yetI'm a bit perplexed by Hawkeye so far. I was super excited for the show, loved the intro look-back to the battle of New York right off the bat, and have mostly had fun with the show so far. HOWEVER, we are now 4 episodes in on this 6 episode series, and outside of a few teases here or there, has anything really happened outside of Clint and Kate toying around with a gang full of idiots with seemingly zero stakes??? We are 2/3rds the way through this series and I don't even know what the plot is yet, and we now only have 2 episodes to close this thing out. I sure hope they prove me wrong, but I have a hard time believing at this moment I'm going to walk away from the end of this thing satisfied. Sure, if the point of the series is to establish the Kate Bishop character, I think they are doing an alright job of that so far, but an entire series' purpose should never be to simply establish a new character. It should be telling a good story first, while secondly establishing new characters, not vice-versa. Anyway, that ends my rant. At least I'm still having fun hanging out with these characters, but I still can't help but constantly ask myself when we are going to get to the point of all of this.
Yep. Probably time to go internet blackout for the most part. Not seeing it until Sunday. With a pretty busy week ahead and minimal time to even turn on a TV, I'm hoping everything can stay mostly secret until then. With reviews coming out that means spoilers aren't too far behind - read with caution.

Not that there was a ton of character development with the old villains, but I'm curious if there would be any benefit to having my daughter watch any of the pre-Holland Spider-Man movies. I feel like a quick run-down of the villains may be all that's needed. I don't see her enjoying the McGuire/Garfield Spideys as much.
I have no doubt there would be a good benefit, even though its likely not fully necessary. Trouble is there isn't a ton of time to cram in 5 movies with 2 of them being downright terrible. Likely would burn the kids out. With that said, I'd say there is a 90% chance Tobey and Andrew are in this thing, so it may not hurt to show them the first movie in each series. As for me going with my wife, there is zero chance she is watching any of those old movies, so I'm just going to give her a quick verbal rundown of both villains and heroes for the series. It will likely be a fruitless adventure with her forgetting pretty much everything I say, but I'll do it nonetheless.
