So with CMC, what are people expecting and/or waiting for? Should we be expecting another contract extension or just some public confirmation from CMC that he’s staying?
Coach Campbell starts wearing our school colors and says he is retiring the black uniforms.

That would convince me he is firmly entrenched at ISU.

I like Brian Ferentz sorry, he must be on some calm down pills because he seems like a much more decent person nowadays, sorry thats what I think, he would be great for OU and that would be bad for Iowa I think to lose him.

edit: based on a waffle house rumour

Unless Jeff Lebby changed his name to Brian Ferentz, Brian Ferentz isn't going to the the OU OC.

The only thing more rare than a Hawkeye redzone touchdown is your use of periods.

Lol hardly. It's a message board with a bunch of people that know generally nothing about anything, myself included. The next time something like that bothers me will be the first.
Oh. That’s why you marked my post “Dumb” then. And why you overreacted to my initial comment. Because neither one bothered you. Gotcha.

I called it dumb because it's a dumb, misleading take by you. Seems like you might have been bothered by the dumb rating

Alright enough of this nonsense of us going back and forth on nothing. Agree to disagree with you. Maybe next year we can find each other at a tailgate and have a beer or something :) I hope Campbell stays just like everyone else, and I honestly think he will.

I hope there’s an extension this week. If not, you’ll have to wonder if there’s some hard feelings after last week.

Why would an extension make you feel better??? He’s already under contract for 7 more years. He’s turned down more money every time we’ve worked on an extension. Literally what does adding another year to it do for you to stop being a little girl?

He has 7 years on his contract he doesn't want one I imagine.

I mean, so long as the buyout on his side remains as low as it is, i'm sure he'd take more guaranteed money. You never know what will happen, if things fall apart (which is why ISU may not want to go farther out- look at how happy everyone was with the rhoads extensions until it ended up making it harder to fire him)

It wouldnt really benefit ISU very much though so long as the buyout remains low. It'd buy goodwill but not security

Friend of mine who is an Oregon fan says ESPN is reporting Oregon is very interested in Campbell. Not surprising but wondering if there is any traction to this?
Let the coaching carousel continue!

Interesting. ESPN's online article mentioned Campbell last when discussing potential targets. Seemed to me he was included out of obligation since he has been mentioned with every other big job.

The ESPN article gave strong credence that Oregon's next coach would have strong west coast experience as they are looking for stability after losing last few coaches who has strong Florida roots. Chris Petersen (Former UW), Chip Kelly, Dave Aranda, Bryan Harsin (Auburn's coach) and Justin Wilcox (CA HC & Oregon alumn).

If I were Bryan Harsin, I would push to get the Oregon job. He seems like a bad fit at Auburn and he has to compete with Saban every year.

This ain't Rhoads kiddy play time anymore. Campbell isn't going anywhere but up. He is happy, leave him alone, give his assistants more money. Buyout size doesn't even matter. If Ohio State or Notre Dame want him they are paying it and we're not firing him.
