No every school has not proven that.

KState is 1/2 post Snyder (thats assuming Kleiman is a success... TBD).
Texas Tech is 0/3 post Leach
Texas is 0/3 post Brown
Kansas is 0/5 post Mangino.
Not really sure how to judge WVU.

Baylor is only one that has had some decent success.

TCU, OU, and Okie State have had continuity.

ISU has never had a coach at Campbells level. Literally every other school in Big 12 that has hired replacements except for Baylor has failed.
Texas is not in the Big 12 3.0. I already excluded KU.

So KSU is 50%, which supports what I’m saying. Did you see their record in the 70’s? I know!

Tech who you have as 0/3, fired a coach that was 5-3 in Year 3 and finished 6-6 compared to our 7-5. If that is a miss, well, how good of job is MC doing? To say Baylor is the only one that has decent success is holding other schools to a higher standard than MC

Bottom line. Campbell will take ND if offered. The fact that there is no announcement means it is coming down to Fickell and Freeman. No way that Notre Dame lets them both slip away. But that is just my opinion. They might take Freeman, protect their recruits and players today. If it doesn’t work out they can always pull Campbell away. Whenever. I think they are pushing for Fickell right now. I think Campbell is the fallback which means we wait.

We are in so much better shape than we were when Rhoads was hired and even when Campbell was hired.

I agree. It's just the 'we wait'. I realize no choice. Except that signing day is next week and there's alway those few recruits who might be wavering and this limbo doesn't help. But don't see how it can be prevented. I realize people were scolded when bringing up Hoiberg comparison, but it's very similar. While the Bulls were dinking around, it was stressful as far as recruiting goes. Difference being, Hoiberg was a done deal for the most part back then, where I hope this situation isn't a done deal, meaning behind the scenes.

There are 2 schools of thought when you are Catholic, send your kids to public[and swim upstream] or send your kids to private[glorified rich kid school at times]. I think that may be what it comes down to in the near future, and I also think he was playing a bit of chess to try to understand what Notre Dame football is really about. Notre Dame probably needs some down years for CMC to be interested.

At the risk of being accused of 'not being able to read properly', lol, what does your last sentence even mean? Why would ND need some down years. It's Notre Dame...of course he's interested.
