Agreed and I don't think Freeman stays with Campbell. If he is in line for the ND job he'll certainly be a candidate for ISU/Cincy in the event of a coach poach.

ND has the #4 recruiting class this year and #2 for 2023 so far. Any hire but Freeman means starting over on both of those. I think that will be a huge bonus in the Freeman column when ND sits down to think about going with him vs. interviewing Fickell or Campbell.

I don’t think that would be the sole reason. But whiffing on 1-2 classes in a row means a full rebuild and has an effect on future classes too. If you have a good thing going with CFP-level talent coming in, and you think that can be continued, then you are going to consider that.

He isn't getting more than 3 at LSU at that price.
