Looks like they are fixing the parking lots!
The tailgate tents are going up as well, starting from the north end.
Are we finally seeing the faded decals on the Jake coming down? *crosses fingers*

I was told by a friend of mine that there won't be much visible with regards to the ped bridge until later in the fall. I could have bad information

Stadium has come a long way and this is probably a short term stopping point until we know our fate with conferences.

My to do list for the stadium in no order or priority

Improved press tower - probably close to last on the list due to expense. Would love what Arrowhead has

Improved fencing- this looks to be taking place already as the cattle panel fence on the west side is now gone. The ramps have new iron fencing that matches the Gardens

Expanded practice fields- in progress and done by next fall? The old field will lose some space by the Berg for the facilities trucks to get to and from the shop. I wish we could also expand into the Beach Street hillside and put in a retaining wall that allows us two 100 yard fields side by side. This would be my priority as I think the staff wants this. Two fields in this location allows us to turn the Field of Dreams into a paved parking area. A company in my hometown in northern Iowa does retaining walls and while a decent cost is involved- it is not comparable to what we have already spent. It is doable.

Hilton lots- enough said

Expanded video screens on the boards. Large enough for ads on one side, game stats and score on the opposite side and an unobstructed video screen in the middle.

Gold trim on the top of the walls inside the stadium floor

Allstate netting in the SEZ that actually stops the ball instead of just being an advertisement.

Removal of the prairie grass on the west side that never took. Install sod and irrigation on the east and west outer hills to resemble the plaza. Grow the weeds and the prairie grass in that large wasteland northeast of the stadium that will be fenced off next fall.

Completion of the SEZ Reiman Plaza that the university cut costs on. Add the walkway to the frame that was built and build a small water feature under the spaceship that can be a memorial to the 1985 XC team. Landcaping and seating around the water feature similar to the MU fountain.

What am I missing?

Since we are throwing ideas out there, I'd like to see permanent restroom structures out in the tailgate lots. Maybe 4-6 in the north lots and a couple around the stadium. Not big structures, but something nicer than kybos for the ladies, and would be heated in November.

Isn't the area with the RV hookup supposed to have a shower house?

I'd make the same rules that Larry David set up for his coffee shop. No defacating, just urinals only. And the women's urinals would look like this:

If they ever put up shower houses or bathrooms in the lots, Hoks fans need to be kept away from them. We all know they will go to great lengths to use them inappropriately. Gopher fans will have some details on that.

All this time looking at the webcam, I didn’t pay much attention to the trees in the parking lots. For years I’ve been through those lots, and not paid much attention to the trees.

Then, looking at the repaving project in C6, I realized what a disparity there is in all of those trees. Some of them are really big, some much smaller.

The sad part is, I’m pretty sure that those “really big” trees are the ones left that were the modestly sized ones in the early Eighties, when I was a student.

Nothing like putting down new sod yesterday only to have a crew tear into it today. (NW corner of plaza)

One other thing that would enhance the fan experience immensely would be to improve internet access in the lots around the stadium and in the stadium itself. I'm not sure how expensive that would be, but it would be so appreciated by the fans.

As someone who has helped do that for universities and other sports organizations like the PGA or NFL in the past. Way easier said than done.

And do you mean cellphone signal or wifi? Big difference there too.
