Disagree. That plaza had college game day. There’s a little more to it than just a concrete pad.

College game day would be interesting this yr I assume. I'd like to think it would be heckling and hostile signs, but I'm pretty sure it would just be a lot of fawning to ESPN.

There are Jack Trice Stripes on the wall of the entrance closest to the street. Look at the far left in these photos.

Real Classy to make fun of what those stripes are there to represent.
The death of man. His legacy.
But that doesn't matter. Hawkeye fans will just trash it.
Are we really surprised or expecting anything else from the Hawkeye Fans.

I don’t think many Hawkeye fans actually like the guy who runs that page. They definitely have the maturity of a 13 yr old.

Question: Was this specific stripes tribute announced in any of the planning documents or renderings? I know there is supposed to be a larger Trice Stripes statue out front, but I don't remember reading anything about this one.

I'm going to guess that it's not anything aesthetic - they've had the scaffolding up there all week moving from south to north on that west wall.
