Izaiah Brockington commits

Maybe because they were talking about conference rankings as of now, not as of last year?

Don't think I'd call us middle of the pack, but not unreasonable to go with 7-9, IMO.
I think that he was making the point that the team needs to practice, prepare and play like they are fighting back from an atrocious season last year. They have done nothing to prove they aren't an 0-18 team - they are capable of it, but they need to prove it.

It is a different take on things, but certainly isn't dumb.

There are so many intriguing pieces, I can't even guess who is #12, 13 off the bench so-to-speak. It will take a long time to get that team chemistry with so many new guys but boy, there SHOULD REALLY BE GREAT COMPETITION in practice to earn floor time!

I think the big thing that will help the chemistry build fairly quickly is that these guys all want to turn this thing around. It's basically a complete reset and egos shouldn't get in the way like they would if we were returning a bunch of guys.

You’re right I do. Delusional posters that lap up the CF hype machine like dogs at the water bowl. 0-18 last year in conference people. 0-18.
I get what you're saying and I don't think we're going to be top half of the conference but the roster is almost all new from last year with a lot more proven P5 talent and high end potential. Combine that with coaching and system improvements and I don't think expecting 5-7 conference wins is that crazy.

This is cool, but maybe I'm missing something here. Looking purely at statistics, he's a little bigger, little worse shooting Rasir Bolton? Their stats are near identical. I've admittedly never watched a Penn State game, so does he have a specific type of impact on games?
He plays defense. End of story. I think all the TJ transfers will play both ends of the court. Thats what wins you games. Hero ball gives you a good box score and makes your team unwatchable and unwinnable at the same time.

remember when a lot of people were super mad that TJ didn't re-recruit one of Prohm's commits.....?

I still am in disbelief that some fans thought he should be a Cyclone. He played and one of the top prep schools in the country. He had maximum exposure with minimal interest. Otz recruiting his teammate to UNLV. So any person with a brain should have realized if he was worth a scholorship to Iowa State. UNLV would have been hard after him

This offer list was a slap in the face to Hilton Magic and Cyclone Nation?

Agree with that but I’m already seeing “bubble team”, and “if things go right” posts.
