Random trivia for your Sunday morning:
The new Captain America is played by Wyatt Russell, the son of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.

He's also a pretty decent hockey player (goalie), and was drafted by the Des Moines Buccaneers, but it doesn't look like he ever played for the team.

Oh geez..... no this road again. Apparently, we are getting teased with yet another "surprise" cameo upcoming in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series. Not sure the internet can handle another one of these after the whole Wandavision debacle. I feel like all of these need special warning signs with them that say something like "speculate responsibly" or "speculate at your own risk/peril"......

Well the mini-bio series on Disney+ just dropped an episode for Sharon Carter so I'll just assume that's who they are talking about.

Well, its been known for a while now that Sharon Carter was going to be in the series. Therefore, I'd like to think it isn't her, but who knows.

Zemo killed those dudes though.

Agreed, I think this is a new group. You have to remember this is 2023, Civil War was 2016 in the MCU timeline it's 7 years later. Also the other Winter Soldiers from Civil War seemed like unhinged lunatics. I think whatever super soldier serum is in these guys is a lot better variant than what was in those guys.

Also, Carlie got the text from somebody about coming for them and that they took their stuff. Whoever made the Winter Soldier serum would have done so a long time ago and they would have been working for the Russians so it wouldn't be a cryptic text coming for them.

I'll be interested to see if Thunderbolt Ross comes into play at all. He has a history of trying to recreate the Erskine (original creator) super-soldier serum back in the Incredible Hulk days. A lot of people don't remember, but both Hulk and Abomination were created as an attempt to recreate that serum. One big different was the use of gamma rays in those attempts rather than the original Vita rays with Steve.

My guess:

The super soldiers they fought aren't the bad guys but the people chasing them were and somehow the new Cap is in league with them. In the end Sam and Bucky will team up against the mystery people and new Cap. Idk maybe that's too obvious

I agree that the ones we saw running are not the real enemy.
The guy that chucked Joaquin Torres wasn't in that group was he? But they all had the same masks so I feel like they are connected.

I'm really curious to see where they go with them.

Here is probably the best source I've found to detail out the MCU's long history of super-soldier serums whether related to the original Erskine formula or not. Even the Deathlock formula used in Agents of Shield has some ties to the Erskine formula, among other things too.

As for cameos, best case it's Chris Evans as old cap. Keep expectations low though, it could be random hydra or shield agent.

I really like what they've done with the New Cap actually. Kind of a **** but doing it for what looks like the right reasons.

I'm actually surprised he got so ticked off at the end of the episode and told them to stay out of his way. That was a quick turn

He probably felt a little betrayed them continuing to do it their way when he personally put himself on the line in the fight and getting Buck out of trouble.

I just re-watched that scene and I have a new theory about that. Putting it in spoilers just in case I'm close:

Is the new Captain America a robot, or some kind of RoboCop/Terminator version of John Walker?

Watching Walker's reaction in the scene stated above he cuts away for a brief second, like he's calculating, and then turns back with his response. I don't think Walker is aware he's a robot and still believes he's human. Perhaps Walker is a project similar to SWORDS "Cataract" in WandaVision?

Also, a big tease is the revelation of Battlestar. For us Sci-Fi nerds, it immediately makes me think of Battlestar Galactica, where the premise of the show is that the Cylons (human-looking robots) are unaware they are robots until they are activated. Yes, Battlestar is in the comics, but this is the kind of Easter Egg that Feige would love to drop on fans.

I don't know if you're right or not, but I'm interested.

I tend to disagree, but you bet I'll remember your theory if it happens to end up true

Venom Let There Be Carnage officially pushed back another week. While it is only a week, I still can't help but shake my head every time these movies keep getting pushed back. Don't get me wrong, I get why they are doing it, but selfishly, my patience to want to see these continues to struggle. Mortal Combat too was pushed back a week recently...... uggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! You are killing me smalls!!!!!

This is kind of surprising:
New Mutants will make it's streaming debut on HBO Max, not Disney+ or Hulu, on April 10.

Yeah, I remember all the Fox properties still had a licensing agreement where new properties had to go to HBOMax for streaming rather than where Disney wanted them to go, at least until the existing agreement ended. No doubt this agreement played somewhat into them being so adamant New Mutants had to go to theaters rather than directly to streaming.
