What's the deal with airline food?

Do they still SERVE food on airlines? Last time I got a free meal on a plane was on a flight to Okinawa.

Just had a thread thought.....it would have to be a sub-thread to RTT. I think it might be fun for everyone to make a list of the following:

What celebrity (actor/singer/game show host/etc) does each person in RTT remind you of? As a perfectly random thought, it might be kinda interesting.

They still do on overseas flights. Of course that is about the only flights I have had in recent memory.

I grew up with sisters who wore "panties" but Mrs. Velo hates that term. I'm not sure why.

My wife also hates that term and cringes if she hears it, also no real explanation why.

Neighbor is getting a sprinkler system put in. While I can understand wanting a nice looking lawn I gave up on watering long ago. I just can't see wasting all that water to keep my lawn green. I'm sure there's much better uses for it.

When neighbors asked why I don't water my lawn, I always responded that I wasn't going to pay the city extra money just so I could mow the grass more often.

All those Steve Prohm threads just rehash the exact same stuff over and over. I really don't read much of them but how did people get the idea in their head that Fred was leaving Nebraska to come back to Ames?

Yay! I think we are almost down single digit houses in our neighborhood that still have tarps/major damage. One of those will be torn down though so not sure that really counts.

I had to work today, but my spouse was able to work from home.
The reports I've been getting are that it's a very loud process, and the dogs are not fans. At. All.

Been trying to rationalize that in my head, too. I just don't see it. Why would he come back here, now, to clean up an awful mess, knowing that if he fails many, many people will be stunned? So many think he walks on water, it would be a no-win situation.

I try to stay out of those threads for similar reasons, mainly because they involve the same stuff over and over like you said. I think the Hoiberg thing came up because somebody had a "source" that says they heard Hoiberg reached out to Pollard with interest in the position if it came open.
