Nice work, Jared. Spot on with your points. Really need to establish an identity, which is been sorely lacking, among other things...Thanks.
Posting the article would be helpful. Lol
Not really anybodies fault, or Kuttr's responsiblility. I would have linked the article if opening a new thread, no biggie.

But I wonder why some of the CF writter's are not linking all or most of their stuff here on the forum anymore? They would get more traffic. Some of us do not always check the main board.

He started the thread so yes it's his responsibility. Lol.

" The only concern is we’ve seen this movie play out before. This would not be the first time Prohm and his staff have been forced to rework a sizable portion of their roster during the spring and each of those previous occasions have produced (largely) lackluster results. "

Oh, Prohm's general ability to coach offense, defense, inbounding, rebounding, and now even crossing halfcourt are all major concerns.

"If Steve Prohm keep(s) his job…"

Honesty the only way in the world possibly for this to happen, IMO, would be for ISU to maybe wait another year or two on a potential really high-level coach who has a very large buyout. This coach would have to make an off-the-record committment to ISU in a year or two (or three I suppose). Likely No!! Hoiberg waiting another 2-3 years to get his buyout a little lower (currently another 5 years, 15-18 Million?), likely NO, signed a 7 year deal 2 years ago. Even then have to change the current coaching staff and hire a new assitant coach to basically take the reigns for a year or three. Not Happening!!!

Only logical course of action: Prohm goes, ISU gets fresh start with new coach, asap.

He’s done don’t worry. Just wait a few days.

What we know is that Prohm needs to recruit 3 NBA players to hit .500 in the league. Doesn’t bode well for next year.

We have a grand total of two bigs returning one that gets in foul trouble and another that hasn't played enough to make a judgment on. Really think a big is a must get and a guard is second.
I would go even further, in that we need to use the open and next available scholarship on post players. We need a big bodied post who can score in the paint, rebound and throw his weight around.

Then we need an Ejim/ Hogue/Nadar post who can play above the rim, rebound and make an occasional 3.

Everything is contingent on off-season attrition, but we are loaded with perimeter players who at some point have to produce- we have tons of redundancy among our perimeter players.

PG- Hunter with Bolton or Walker filling in for 5-10mpg.
WG- Bolton, Harris, Walker, Nunn, Jackson
SF- Hinson, Johnson, Dubar
PF- Foster, Hinson, Blackwell
C- Conditt, Recruit

We need a program identity.

But equally important we need a return to fundamentals. We have to defend dribble penetration. We have to rebound. We have to attack the basket with physicality.

Finesse, jumpshooting teams don't win consistently on the road.

I AGREE with you Prohm needs to GO, but Jamie might just bite the bullet and bring Prohm back for another year or two....Lets say Jamie lets Prohm come back next year and Steve goes 500 in the Conference.....Then Jamie will get to keep his favored son, so to speak....

LET ME TELL YOU GUYS...IF PROHM WAS AT ANY OTHER SCHOOL HE WOULD BE FIRED ASAP!!

Prohm went .500 with insane talent 2 years ago. He went .000 with minimal talent this year. Unless he’s bringing in the Fab 5 he isn’t going .500 next year lol. Prohm won’t be back. I know you rated my last post optimistic when I said that, but trust me.
