Nice work, Jared. Spot on with your points. Really need to establish an identity, which has been sorely lacking, among other things...Thanks.

Not really anybodies fault, or Kuttr's responsiblility. I would have linked the article if opening a new thread, no biggie.Posting the article would be helpful. Lol

But I wonder why some of the CF writter's are not linking all or most of their stuff here on the forum anymore?

He’s done don’t worry. Just wait a few days."If Steve Prohm keep(s) his job…"
Honesty the only way in the world possibly for this to happen, IMO, would be for ISU to maybe wait another year or two on a potential really high-level coach who has a very large buyout. This coach would have to make an off-the-record committment to ISU in a year or two (or three I suppose). Likely No!! Hoiberg waiting another 2-3 years to get his buyout a little lower (currently another 5 years, 15-18 Million?), likely NO, signed a 7 year deal 2 years ago. Even then have to change the current coaching staff and hire a new assitant coach to basically take the reigns for a year or three. Not Happening!!!
Only logical course of action: Prohm goes, ISU gets fresh start with new coach, asap.
Agreed. Still the only 'fun' thing about this season is the speculation. He’s done don’t worry. Just wait a few days.
Its been the only highlight of the year. It’s sad, but our fan base deserves something exciting.Agreed. Still the only 'fun' thing about this season is the speculation.
Not exactly fun, I know.
Faux pas notedHe started the thread so yes it's his responsibility. Lol.
" The only concern is we’ve seen this movie play out before. This would not be the first time Prohm and his staff have been forced to rework a sizable portion of their roster during the spring and each of those previous occasions have produced (largely) lackluster results. "
Oh, Prohm's general ability to coach offense, defense, inbounding, rebounding, and now even crossing halfcourt are all major concerns.
I would go even further, in that we need to use the open and next available scholarship on post players. We need a big bodied post who can score in the paint, rebound and throw his weight around. We have a grand total of two bigs returning one that gets in foul trouble and another that hasn't played enough to make a judgment on. Really think a big is a must get and a guard is second.
I AGREE with you Prohm needs to GO, but Jamie might just bite the bullet and bring Prohm back for another year or two....Lets say Jamie lets Prohm come back next year and Steve goes 500 in the Conference.....Then Jamie will get to keep his favored son, so to speak....![]()
MONDAY MUSINGS: What comes next for Iowa State hoops? - Cyclone Fanatic
Iowa State head men’s basketball coach Steve Prohm hangs his head after arguing with a game official in the second half against Baylor at Hilton Coliseum in Ames on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2021. Big 12 Tournament week has arrived and for the first time since I’ve been covering the Iowa State men’s...cyclonefanatic.com

Meant to post the article myself. Got caught up working on something around the house and forgot. Appreciate you guys for getting it here.

LET ME TELL YOU GUYS...IF PROHM WAS AT ANY OTHER SCHOOL HE WOULD BE FIRED ASAP!!
Prohm went .500 with insane talent 2 years ago. He went .000 with minimal talent this year. Unless he’s bringing in the Fab 5 he isn’t going .500 next year lol. Prohm won’t be back. I know you rated my last post optimistic when I said that, but trust me.I AGREE with you Prohm needs to GO, but Jamie might just bite the bullet and bring Prohm back for another year or two....Lets say Jamie lets Prohm come back next year and Steve goes 500 in the Conference.....Then Jamie will get to keep his favored son, so to speak....
