yes they doMight be a dumb question but do texas residences have heating systems?
From my understanding yes.Okay that helps, so they aren’t “breaking down” they are operating as designed?
I heard Webster City was asking residents to watch their usage today.
Yeah, hoping that doesnt hit midamerican here or we're in for a world of hurt.
Yea. Usually electric heat.Might be a dumb question but do texas residences have heating systems?
We missed power for 7 days after the little derecho in August. At least we didn't have to worry about frozen pipes. Hang in there.Hour seven for me...
Ya my thought was it might be electric I spent 4 months living in houston with an aunt who had health issues but it was during the summer.Yea. Usually electric heat.don't do you any good right now.
But a huge issue is the water pipes. Apartments may be fine but lots of people have the water come in the garage.
I haven't heard anything from Mid-American yet, but local coops have been put on notice for rotating power outages to shed load in North Central and Western Iowa at minimum. Time to shut down appliances.
That would be correct.I think some of those areas might be under SPP.
Need to find that “friend” to cuddle up with and entertain each other during these times. I’m married so the wife would make me manually crank the furnace if the generator didn’t fire up.
Good Lord, I never said anything about having to love them.Love isn't real though

It's officially starting to get cold in my apartment now. I know you're not supposed to drink but I cracked one open. Don't know what else to do. Got my longjohns on and a sweater.
Might pull out my zero degree sleeping bag for the night. Already called off work tomorrow
Don't have a car anymore.dont get too drunk to where you can't sit in the car and warm up
