Once again I find myself excited for the game. Anyone else? I think Javan will be back so that’ll help scoring some. I hope Rasir plays similar to how he did earlier in the week. As much as people compliment Walker (as they should) Rasirs performance went widely unnoticed. 15 pts 6 rebs 7ast and 4 TOs. With one turnover being the last possession. Hoping he can build off it and continue to distribute well! Also hoping one of the freshmen can catch fire scoring.

I most certainly agree! That’s why I wanted to point out how good he did last game, especially at distributing the ball. It wasn’t a Walker vs Bolton who’s the better pg comment, though I can understand how it came across that way. Like any sane fan I think walker has more potential at pg than Rasir

I didn't bother to look at OUs results, knowing they had big wins recently. Of course that means I forgot about the TTl loss! And I watched a lot of that game!
Now I'm less hopeful from the "hot team overlooks struggling opponent" standpoint, but still somewhat hopeful from the "blind optimistic fan" perspective.

I'll watch because its -10 in Iowa today, but the last time they played West Virginia tough they proceeded to have one of the worst losses in Hilton history.

Don't be fooled, even the worst teams don't lose evey game by 25. Oklahoma has been extremely hot latley and won't be in a good mood after losing to Tech.

It is true that one game espcially a close loss doen't mean the team isn't still at the bottom of the league. Still we are fans and I won't dissuade anyone for looking forward to seeing the team play again. Fans should look forward to seeing the young players get better and hopefully get rewarded with a couple of wins before the season ends.
My expectations for a W vs OU are low, but I do think they'll show up and keep it closer than the spread at the end. Assuming Javan is back (last I saw that was expected) it will be ther first time in over a month we have a full roster (w/o XF).
This year has been bad no doubt, but the past month with all the Covid issues have made the team look way worse than reality.

I'll have to watch it again because I didn't see that action of the play. That play would work for a 3, however I honestly don't think Bolton would've ever kicked it. Lol

Rasir is a great scorer, and we need him to get shots for this team to work at all. But he is not a good passer. Just not a strength. And he is turnover prone.

Yet CSP had him at point up til now. The two most important skills, for the most important position, and we have the exact wrong guy as the starter.

I dont understand how he makes these 180 degree wrong decisions. I cannot believe he is tanking on purpose. He cannot be just flat out dumb, right? I mean, he has been around basketball forever, he must know. Only thing i can figure is he promised something to someone, and wont renege even if its a disaster. Or else he thinks the best way for a player to get better at something is in a real live game, and he is willing to sacrifice wins and his own job in the process.

We’re in agreement. Walker has a lot of helium right now. Hope he can take advantage of the opp.

Bolton has been consistent. Have to take the good with the bad in his game. He’s been forced into a tough role on a struggling team.

Serious question, up until the last three games, who on this roster would you have wanted to run the point.

with the injuries to Tre and Jaden, no preseason practice, and chopped up non conference schedule with games being cancelled, who would have been a better choice than Rah to run the point?

I agree Walker needs to see extended minutes at the point going forward. It will be a bad look if he doesn’t.

Prohm failed to replace Halliburton. Insult to injury the guard whisperer coach hasn't been able to “develop” Bolton’s game. (Or Harris’ or Jackson’s or really anyone else’s).

Prohm’s not a dolt. Just not good at his job.

Yes because it’s easy to replace a lottery pg. You don’t have to look hard to see that Rasir has improved as a pg when you look back at last year or his freshman year at penn state. You have to be blissfully ignorant to see he hasn’t developed.

Not trying to say he should be pg, but to ignore what the stats say is just unfair to him
