Post Covid Vacation

Went to Negril Jamaica a couple weeks back, it was fantastic. The resort was at 20% capacity, extremely relaxing and the trip was nearly 30% cheaper than when we went 2 years ago to the same place.
If you went back to the same place it must be good - mind sharing where? I'd like to take more island vacations, but don't really know much about any of the destinations.

Anywhere in Negril is good.
For people willing to go off the inclusive resorts, there's a great restaurant called "Sweet Spice" that's amazing.
We do Couples Swept Away - if you're looking for a relaxing spot I highly recommend.
CSA is great. We honeymooned there & really want to go back sometime.
Hopefully summer 2021 and do a little journey out west to see my brother in Wyoming while making some stops along the way to and from. Kids will be 7 and 4 and at an age maybe a swing through the Black Hills would be fun for them.
Remembering your descriptions of how things were for her at work awhile back, i'd say she's earned em.

We've had an oceanfront villa booked at Baoase resort in Curacao for almost a year now. Have had to push it back 2 times due to Covid. Now we're slated to go in April. I don't want to push it back again, but I will if I have to. It's become my goal in life to get pass out drunk on the Curacao beach. I don't care how long it takes

She was coincidentally working at an adult hospital in April when the first wave was at its worst. Yes, pediatricians have to do training at adult hospitals so they learn how to deal with problems typically associated with older adults, such as heart attacks and strokes, which happen in children (if only rarely) and so they at least have a clue what they are doing if an adult comes into their pediatric emergency room and they have to do something.
She has been constantly exposed to COVID-19 and forced to double-triple up on the PPE with masks and face coverings. She did anyways, but the emphasis on that has been much stronger than it was before.
And, like the rest of us, we've basically been stuck home together since March.

After that initial rush and once she got back to her children's hospital after that rotation, things have actually been quiet/slow. People are avoiding hospitals because they are scared of the virus and because they lost insurance (we're still down something like 8 million jobs from the prerecession peak), kids are not infecting each other with little bugs at school, and there are not as many dumb playground accidents and car wrecks to be dealing with.
So overall... she's had a pretty chill six months without a lot of patients around.
Hopefully the Canada border is open by next summer. With the travel restrictions this year I doubt the fish were hit very hard there. Should make for great fishing early in the season next year.
We had to take our trip this year in Northern Minnesota in late August with the whole no Canada thing. A lot of people resorted to the same thing. It was hard to find a place with an availability. Great business for the Minnesota resorts and outdoor retailers. A worker at Cabellas said their business was up 50% from the previous year.
The fishing was abysmal though. We left a day early. Was getting pretty old hearing my grandpa say, "that's why they call it fishin' and not catchin'".

We have 2 summer youth sports tournaments for NY and CA already scheduled, with 3 more to be scheduled. Hoping to squeeze a July trip to Mexico in as well.
Mountain biking/hiking trips to NW Arkansas and the Black Hills already planned out.
Kinda depends on what you drink, but I'd like to think you could get the job done in a few hours if you put your mind to it.
We're having a baby in the spring, and we're hoping to move into a different house at some point in the near future as well, so I have a feeling we're not going anywhere in the next year.
I just want to go to live sporting events and concerts again.
