***Official College Football Playoff Rankings***

For people talking about data points, they're still playing the same amount of games whether they are in the B1G championship or not. They'll end up playing Iowa or someone else that will be ranked in the teens-20s in the CFP.
That will be enough of a game to keep them in the playoffs. Not sure why this is working everyone up. Outcome has been determined unless their o
Of course they have Ohio State #4

Ohio state played on Saturday and killed MSU. Nobody expected them to drop out this week.

I mean anyone in the top 25 would have killed MSU.

The group of 5 teams were never going to get in this year because all of their best possible wins (non-con) got cancelled. I understand why they're pissed though - we'd feel the same way in their situation.

Yep. As much fun as the BYU/Coastal game was it can easily be written off as the winner of the biggest pillow fight since they don’t have any comparables with the P5 teams. You have to somewhat feel for BYU, they had the schedule in place to crash the party, and it all got wiped out.

As much as I hate it, Bama and ND are in. oSU will make it regardless of how many games they play (assuming they don’t lose). Even if Clemson loses, the committee would take them over a two loss ISU team.

No G5 team will make the playoffs as long there is only a 4 team playoff. Too much money being given out, for the P5 conferences to ever allow a G5 team to get a share of that loot.

Like I said before, the committee is making up rules year to year, to ensure that the teams that are bluebloods get in every year. The only way a P5 non blueblood makes the playoff is if they undefeated, and even then its 50/50. If ISU was sitting at 10-0' right now, we would be 5th at best. Alabama, ND, also undefeated would be ranked ahead of us, Clemson is Clemson with one lose to ND would be ranked higher, and so would a 5-0 OSU. ISU would be 5th or 6th at best.

The G5 schools have ZERO chance, its just not happening under the current setup.

Why would they want to shut up critics when they have a red carpet path to the playoff?

Yeah I don’t really understand people acting like OSU should reschedule a game on short notice for Saturday. They will get a game against Wisconsin or Iowa which they will kill and then make the CFP. The only way I see OSU getting jumped is Florida beating Bama.

Oh come on. If we were 10-0 and Ohio state was 5-0, we’d be 4th. I think we’d be 4th at 9–1. I don’t give a **** about the G5 but the committee has treated us fairly. Not favorably but fairly.

I know no one will like this, but a 6-0 League Champ Ohio State will be in playoff. The Big Ten will not make Ohio State play a sixth game to get into the championship game. They will waive the rule. If Ohio State wins, it is a done deal. They look the part, have not lost, Big 10 Champ, and a blue blood. That being said, a New Year game would be amazing.
