***Official College Football Playoff Rankings***

To be honest, does anyone want to invest in going to a bowl game against anyone ahead of us at all knowing what could happen? I want Georgia or Miami in a bowl and hopefully we can do an on-side kick to start the game and beat them down. Indiana in a bowl game would be fun, and I would bet the house on it. Ohhh, here comes Barta interview.....could this be a ploy by Iowa to get us max ranking in the conspiracy to get a bowl match up with us?

I would argue with Palmer though that Ohio State hasn’t yet passed the eye test. They honestly haven’t looked that good for half of the games they have played. And they haven’t played anyone worth a crap other than Indiana, who they almost lost to and Fields looked like garbage against.

Agree completely..... what "eye test" has tOSU passed? They've played one halfway decent team, and barely beat them.

Path to the playoffs:
We beat OU(obviously)
Florida gets run by Bama
A&M loses to Ole Miss or Tennessee
Ohio State doesn't play again or loses

Don't think this is actually going to happen but the fact we can even talk about this is crazy

Also ND runs Clemson

Mizzou being ranked should have swat teams confiscating the voting machines......Mizzou sucks and is the worst institution in America. It should be closed and razed. Just start over with a new state school in Knob Noster or something.

If we beat OU handily (not likely, just a hypothetical) would we be able to jump a non-SEC champion Tammy?

If they don't put OSU in the Big 10 championship, we might be stuck cheering for Iowa

My brain is automatically wired to root against Iowa. This would royally suck to have to root for them.

Probably. Not anticipating that happening though so for now so I'm not really worrying about that though.

I think we know what *could* happen if we get the #4 spot and have to face Bama. But having a CFP appearance on the record is pretty invaluable given how far we've come.

Now, likely not being in the playoff, a trip to the Cotton/Fiesta/Peach is still monumental for this program

This attitude is seriously the worst. It’s been talked about enough on here already but long story short you don’t shy away from the difficult and hard. You embrace it and look at it as an opportunity. Plus a CFP berth even if we got decimated by Alabama is worth so much to the program opposed to winning a meaningless exhibition.

That’s the thing though. It’s about money and control. If they actually go through with what you are suggesting it will lead to drastic changes in the process. I don’t think they are that shortsighted. Frankly I’d love for them to force OSU in because I think that means the playoff is changed by next year. That said I think they have some semblance of competence and don’t force that.
At this point, I'm hoping for as much chaos as possible. The B1G has either Indiana or Northwestern as the champ, with Ohio State at 5 or 6-0. Florida beats Bama in the SEC title game, and Clemson beats ND in the ACC. Iowa State thumps OU (not that it really matters for the CFP). The PAC-12 has two unbeatens in USC and Colorado, but everyone forgot that they un-cancelled the season. Cincinnati and Coastal Carolina are unbeaten. Blue Bloods are getting shafted left and right, everyone's pissed off an angry.
