Yes, it would because if K-State wins out it's in the championship. This is pretty straightforward stuff, one would think?
Well worded, as you would be the only one on this board to think that.

K-State won't have Skylar Thompson regardless when it's played. And Ames is your home field.
The same can be said for ISU, oSu, and Texas.Well worded, as you would be the only one on this board to think that.
I guess you guys don't follow Farmageddon quite as close as I thought. Thompson was injured in the TxT game a month ago. He's been replaced by a true freshman, Will Howard.Thompson is out??????? Hadn't heard you say anything about it!!
That wasn't my point. My point was that for whatever reason, Kansas State is having issues with this. They've also had issues with this throughout the year and were in a similar position in their first game. The fact of the matter is that we have no idea what is going to happen between now and December 12th. I don't care if KSU is on their 4th string QB. Play the game.K-State won't have Skylar Thompson regardless when it's played. And Ames is your home field.
I'm just saying it would be fun to have that game be the season's last and played for a slot in the championship. That wasn't my point. The competitive reasons for me are wanting to play KSU before we go to Austin. I don't want two bye weeks before going there while they get to whoop up on Kansas and feel good about themselves.I'm just saying it would be fun to have that game be the season's last and played for a slot in the championship.
That written, I fully understand ISU's perspective of wanting to play it now while the weather is nicer and for competitive reasons.
I guess, but both have to win out, and then get ready to play on potentially the worst turf in the nation on 12 Dec. I don't even wish that on Baylor...ahhh, okay, maybe Baylor.I'm just saying it would be fun to have that game be the season's last and played for a slot in the championship.

With how bad Covid is right you don't want to reschedule ANY game. There is one open weekend that football could be played before the championship game. What happens if either Kansas State or Iowa State would need to reschedule another game after this week? If they can play then they need to play.
I agree. I was just stating how much drama would come from a game at year's end rather than now. Time to move-on.With how bad Covid is right you don't want to reschedule ANY game. Yeah I definitely see what you're saying. At the same time I would prefer not having a one game playoff vs Kansas State for the championship game with how the last 11 years have gone...... lolI agree. *vomit* exactly. That would SUCK. I am very proud of our program (and dept in general) as they have done a great job.....doesn't seem like it's been an issue/concern.Imagine KSU fully healthy on 12 Dec, only to have us with the 'Rona...just enough to take out some skill players...but not enough to cancel.
Sigh...
True.......that's what they are saying. I saw Klineman say something about losing ability to even move guys around. Makes you wonder where that line is of "we don't have enough guys" and "we COULD have enough but we are not making it work." Meaning, if Breece, Kene, and Jirehl all got it......we could put Johnny Lang at starter...but would we want to vs saying "we'll play ya later" LOLThought the 3rd stringers were the ones that have Covid?
I've thought all along it was dumb to have planned bye for the sake of bye weeks this year.
What was the logic behind it? Is it somehow forced by TV deals?
Per my source, their issue right now is a starter, a couple 2nd stringers, and the rest 3rd stringers. It's 12 in total and effect a couple of positions. The reason to worry would be if starters or 2nd stringers test positive tomorrow from within those groups.True.......that's what they are saying. Weren't the extra bye weeks this season exactly for this reason that if games got postponed due to Covid there would be some open dates to move games around and make them up? Getting late enough in the season now that it will be harder to do that but earlier this season having those extra bye weeks might of come in handy if there were a bunch of early season games that were postponed.
Not Snyder. Poor discipline.I think the issue with KSt is these byes were put in place to aid with issues teams would have going in. KSt has been "in the bubble " for months yet they're still having cases. It's entirely possible they followed protocol but it's easy to wonder why this is happening if they in fact did.
