The protocols might get more expensive than its worth for the smaller leagues though.

I dont know, with some universities ending fall classes at thanksgiving it may be just about the right time.

ISU will play 2 months of basketball while the university is on winter break. That should make it pretty easy to bubble them.

Why? Football has worked for the most part. Why wouldn't basketball?

This only works if you're willing to accept kids will get sick and let them play anyways. With an 85 team roster, losing a couple guys isn't a big deal. With an 8 man rotation, losing 2 or 3 guys to contact tracing for 3 weeks will ruin a season.

That's a good point. Maybe a break gives campuses a reset and things calm down.

Football has worked fairly well so far when cases have been low nationally. But even then look how many guys have had to sit for contact tracing or asymptomatic positives. Now we're seeing spikes all across the country and we're seeing half the SEC cancel games this weekend.

Not everyone gets the same tv contracts. Most mens basketball teams arent profitable. Womens even less so. Having 15% attendence or whatever won't keep the lights on.

Man its to bad Brendan Barry decided to stay at Dartmouth instead of transferring. He would be great running the Point for Iowa State here in a few weeks.
