Scates also got hit in the chest for a drop on a pass Brock threaded between two defenders.I wonder how many targets they had last night, it couldn't have been many. That first pick is on Brock's underthrow but Scates(?) didn't put up much of a fight for it.
CW has said he's not expecting a Milton return this year from what we've heard (or haven't heard) from CMCAny clue on his status? All I’ve heard is he still isn’t practicing yet as of the middle of last week.
While we certainly won't have the TE depth next year that we've enjoyed the past couple years, Campbell did say that Easton Dean is going to be the best tight end we've ever had. Not exactly the bleakest outlook for that room.Looking at the roster, we're younger at WR than I realized. Akers is a RS-Sr, Milton a RS-Jr, Hutchinson is a Jr. That's it for upperclassmen. If everyone else continues to learn, WR could be a strength next year - and we'll need then to be assuming we lose our 3 starting TEs.
I think the staff is also excited about Lovingblack. While we certainly won't have the TE depth next year that we've enjoyed the past couple years, Campbell did say that Easton Dean is going to be the best tight end we've ever had. Not exactly the bleakest outlook for that room.
I think you may be jumping the gun a bit early. I wouldn't be surprised if one or two of the TE's we have stay considering this year doesn't count towards eligibility AND our TE's are in majors where they might want to try and get their graduate degree. While we certainly won't have the TE depth next year that we've enjoyed the past couple years, Campbell did say that Easton Dean is going to be the best tight end we've ever had. For Kolar I assume it will depend on his draft projections even though he's an engineering major. Allen is already a RS-Sr. I see he's also in a grad program already. He may be in his second year, in which case he'll need to start working on his thesis. While I'd love to see him stay one more year, I wouldn't fault the kid for deciding to move on with his academic career.I think you may be jumping the gun a bit early. Darren Wilson is also a Junior—and I think he redshirted at JC.Looking at the roster, we're younger at WR than I realized. There's also a true freshman coming in next year that should be really good.I think the staff is also excited about Lovingblack.
Campbell has proven that he can recruit and develop quality players so I'm not worried about the future. We just won't have much returning game-proven production IF all three of them leave is all I'm saying. And that is a realistic scenario.Darren Wilson is also a Junior—and I think he redshirted at JC.
This group is really young, and they didn’t have the benefit of Spring practice or a full offseason working together. Time will take careof that.

With the youth in the receiving group we really needed Purdy to be on all the time. While his receivers arent helping him Brock is making a ton of mistakes this year. He doesn't look like the preseason hype suggested he would.Scates also got hit in the chest for a drop on a pass Brock threaded between two defenders.
I think Brock has been okay this year. He's been far from perfect, but hasn't sucked (for a full game). I'm hoping that his comeback in the second half of the game will spark some fire in him. He was playing with a TON of emotion in that second half. Hopefully that carries over to the rest of the year. With the youth in the receiving group we really needed Purdy to be on all the time.
