This week's games ...

I will **** my balls out if we go into the 4th feeling comfortable, let alone being ahead 4 touchdowns.

You guys have no clue, evidently, how bad Ku is at this point in time. I will say that their freshman QB has the potential to star in the future. He is quick and strong-armed. And they have some good receivers. But both lines suck turkey balls. And their special teams are wretched.

We were down 24-21 going into the 4th quarter against KU last year at home, so I'm sure some remember that. However, that was after the Texas win, so probably a little bit of a hangover type game. I think ISU roles KU Saturday by 40ish.

I hope I'm wrong, obviously, but recent history has me feeling like a classic ISU fan.
Oh I'm with you and honestly, feeling comfortable is subjective. Even if we were up 17 to start the 4th on Saturday, my a** is glued to my seat and I'm sweating it out.

How good is their offense in 3rd-and-extremely-long situations? I know nothing about KU this year but can only assume that part of their game will be clicking on Saturday.

They're losing by an average of 30 points a game. Their QB's combined have thrown 3 TD's to 6 INT's. Total, they've put up 9 TD's this season on offense (for reference Breece Hall has 9 TD's by himself this year).

On the defensive side of the ball, they're giving up 437.6 yds per game and are allowing 45 points a game.

KU (+28.5) vs. ISU - Can't see us covering that spread unless we get multiple special teams / defensive TD's

WVU (-3.5) vs. KSU - I like country roads in this one. I think they give KSU their first loss in conference play.

OSU (-3.5) vs. TX - I think OSU wins big here. Texas's defense is going to get exposed and Hubbard runs for 200 yards.

TCU (-2.5) vs. BU - This one seems too easy.

OU (-14.5) vs. TTU - OU's got a good rhythm going.
I hear you there. But I saw the highlights of their KSU game. No disrespect to the KSU special teams because they are very good, but the coverage on those punt returns was dreadful. KSU got two punt return TDs and were close to a third one and it didn't even look like they had to try that hard. I would love it if ISU had a pick 6 and two special teams TDs - in the first half - like KSU did.

I saw those plays they were absolutely horrendous lol. And that's what I'm saying. We're going to have to do something like that to cover that big of a spread. And, considering how we usually handle our punts, I'd be surprised if we took one of those back. I might mess around and put 10 bucks on a kick return for a TD though, I could definitely see that happening.

Those highlights remind me of playing junior high football. We had 2 or 3 guys that were studs and the other team was just absolutely undermanned. There were barely any attempts to tackle on those punt returns.

Brooks's first return (0.35) was just putrid Ku coverage. But his second (3.35), he broke some tackles.

That was two (if we are generous) miserable arm tackles. The second one slowed him down enough that he should have never scored. But no one else covered the right side so he got to the endzone unmolested. They were in better position that time but they still weren't in position to make much of a legitimate threat on the returner.
