Big Brother 22

How do you cast a better black player though? You cast who you think might do well but hard to say until they're in the house. Apparently the houseguests are all receiving unconscious bias training but not sure how much or when it was.

Also, I agree with the second bolded statement however many are saying if you feel that way it's an unconscious bias even though they've shown in the past they will blow up. I certainly think we should be celebrating diversity and keep encouraging it into the game, but at at the end of the day I want 14-16 gamers who will play the game and not make it personal to other houseguests.

Well for starters they need to be familiar with the game. Kind of mind numbing to hear/see David having basic conversations to get informed about how simple parts of the game work (most recently was having a double eviction explained). Bayleigh was recruited from Instagram.

Agree. You can't force people to like your product. Hopefully Bay's followers will start watching and it'll encourage more and more people in the know.

It's not perfect but it's better than nothing.

They do like 5 interviews with each contestant. After 5 interviews you can generally just feel if they are going to be level headed and smart about the game. Same way survivor changed the type of black players they were getting. For a while they were just getting the players that would blow up like Bayleigh and D. Somewhere along the way they started to get flack so they started getting players like Jeremy and Wendell who would actually compete with a level head and would keep emotionally in check. Jeremy is a firefighter so you knew he would not freak out under pressure and blow up. That type of player.

I know I've been ragging on David, so I'll try to make this the last time (until he asks another dumb question about how the game works lol).

Maybe it's the overprepared mentality I live by, but I can't imagine going into a reality show game like this without having watched a season (think I'd heard or read before they are recommended to watch at least one season?)...Then get bounced at the start of that game...Then get invited to an All Star season of the game...Then show up still not having watched a season. The game is really easy to catch on how things work in a couple of weeks, then some of the one off stuff within a single season...

The biggest problem for David was everyone telling him last season he made some great reads while in Camp Comeback...he still thinks that.

Amazing how Bay and Day don't realize the reason Bay might go home is literally traced back to her comment to Nicole a couple weeks ago saying her win took a "couple trys and a couple guys"

The one thing Bay did that I enjoyed. That was great.

Changed my stock picks about 12 times today. Finally decided to abandon all Tyler and go all in on Memphis and Enzo. I think those two are the only two that won't have anyone going after them.....well I guess David is going after Memphis. However, I can't see David winning the HoH.

Btw, the HoH is supposed to be an endurance comp. Should be a good one!

Not watching but I see Day is the first one to drop in the HOH. And then David. Lol

I’ve had a bias training. I hope they didn’t give it to these players as a webinar a few days or even weeks before filming. I’ve found that after the training, you start to question everything and you end up like Tyler where you can see it in the rear view but without enough practice you can’t catch it in real time. It’s hard to be “natural” when trying to put it in to practice and that’s what Tyler is really struggling with. He was probably fine before the training, but now he’s questioning himself.

Day and Bay in this setting would be absolutely terrible people to have to put the training in to practice with and actually get anything out of it. Daywill blatantly use it against you because she wants the money. Bay will use it against you because she’s a Carlton and needs to go to therapy for what she wrestles with every day.

This season sucks...I am so sick of hearing players say "I don't want to win HOH this week because I don't want to make people mad" or "Its too early to make a move"

Play the game you went there to play

For some people though it's totally important to not win HOH. Depends on how good one's reads are in the house.

Cy90 passes Gunner. All of us gained money. State really shot up with an increase in almost $100. I dropped all Tyler stock and it worked for me but got bit a little by Nicole stock.

Don't forget to get your picks in by 7 PM tonight!!

I don’t have live feeds because I was disappointed with the cast - I’m not the biggest Nicole supporter, but I’m also not the biggest Janelle supporter. How Nicole acted all week tells me she was probably covering her tracks to her alliance when she looked really sad; she stuck her neck out to get Tyler out

Triple eviction coming up Thursday. It'll be one of two things:

1. A double double eviction (meaning person evicted at the start, then two rounds of a quick hour of a "full" week resulting in three people being gone.

2. Person evicted at the start then next HoH nominates THREE players and house votes for one to STAY. This has been done in BBCanada a few times. I'll break down my thoughts on it

Pros:
-You get 1 or 2 hours of amazing TV.

Cons:
-It gives the HoH who nominates there people WAY too much power.
-It ruins the build up we've been anticipating of the committee finally having to break up. It'll be over before it starts.
-The season is basically over after the night.
-The next couple seasons will have terrible conservative game play because no one will want to make a big move due to the threat of a triple eviction coming up. This actually happened in BBCanada 7 because there was one in BBCanada 6.
-There is no time for a player on the ropes to use his social capital/skills/scheming to get himself off his back. Think Dan's funeral....he had time to come up with a plan and execute it. It ruins letting the best of the best being able to do their magic.

You can tell which way I lean on this.....
