Big Brother 22

First time I've really had a chance to do a brain dump since the finale....so if anyone cares to read here goes:

1. This season as a whole was boring. That's not really a hot take. However, that's because we had a dominating alliance structure and a dominating winner. I don't think it's casting nor any other reason. Honestly, it was just the way the cards fell. Three HOH challenges in a row did we ALMOST get someone outside of the power structure to win. Janelle nearly beat Tyler in "Mugshots", Kasar nearly won "Carnival Quick Shot", and Da'Vonne nearly beat Christmas (who freaking never had to answer a question to get HOH) in "Filter Face-Off". Any of those outcomes go the other way, this season is wide open.

2. Weeks 1 and 2 were actually pretty interesting. There was a lot more high level game play hence no one wanting to take that first step and make themselves a target.

3. Enzo has a top 5 social game of all time but he's shown twice now that while he can get to the final 3 easily, he can't just rest on his laurels. While he let Cody do all the dirty work, Cody was getting recognized for the dirty work...Enzo has to do more down the stretch.

4. If Nicole had won and cut Cody she deserves it. However I don't think she would have.

5. Cody played a phenomenal dominating game. A top 10 maybe top 5 win...(I plan to do a winner ranking in the coming weeks). A couple times he sensed losing some grip on his power and was able to right the ship before it got dangerous. He's pretty vanilla, but damn if you dive into his game its impressive.

6. Still don't get why people who have been in a bubble have to wear a mask talking to someone who is not in a bubble and doesn't need to wear one.

7. I wish Tyler would have had his head in the game the whole time. I still believe he has the highest BB ceiling even over Cody....even a shell of Tyler was good enough for final 6.

8. I'm excited for a season of noobs next summer. I almost enjoy it more not knowing anything about these people and making predictions/assumptions ect. I'm always hoping for the next Dan/Derrick/Will ect.

9. Taking a step back, to be able to pull a season off during a pandemic is a huge plus. We are allowed to call it boring ect but it was a nice distraction.

10. This was the best episode overall. We got the correct winner and we got a blindside (Nicole didn't see it coming). We had good jury segments, good challenges, no production screwups ect.

For those who care, I'm going to be using the following categories for my BB winner rankings (input always welcome!)....also this is a nice distraction from all the election stuff going on. Each category has a maximum of 10 points. Obviously a lot of these intertwine.

1. Strategy: Did the player make the right reads? Was he/she voting with the majority? Was he/she able to make moves 1,2,3 steps ahead ect? Could the player throw challenges with no fear?

2. Dominance: How dominating was the player this season? Was he/she a comp beast?

3. Correct winner: Did the jury get it right? Basically in my opinion if the winner was worthy (example Dan in he/she gets 10/10. If there was some debate (Say Josh/Paul in BB19), then the number gets knocked down.

4. Social game: Could this player be friendly with the houseguests without letting people catch on? Could this player find ways to connect to everyone and make people feel safe? Could this player form bonds that can go the distance?

5. Jury Management: Did this player own their game? Did they need to? How did they treat players on the week of their evictions.

6. Fun TV: Was this player fun on the TV/show? This could either be a villain role or a hero role. Were they can't miss TV?

7. Cutthroat: Was this player willing to do any and everything to advance him/herself and to win?
