We saw a return to a more normal number after the big jump yesterday. I think that was big. Hopefully we keep kind of a consistent rate to the peak.

Yesterday was just because they got all the test results back from the meat packing plant in Columbus Junction at once.

We're flattening this thing.

Then what’s the point of having this point system?
Probably to increase restrictions when the points reach a certain limit, like you suggest. I disagree with that. The spread does not appear to be increasing very fast. There is no indication that hospitals are anywhere close to being overrun. What further shut downs would you want? I think people wearing masks and simply being as careful as they can when out in public will have a larger benefit than any government mandated shut downs.

Yesterday and today they have not given the new cases breakdown by county and age of cases in counties. Apparently Story had 3 new cases. That info would be nice to know along with what ages groups were affected.

I'd guess when I've been out at all at least roughly 70% of people are wearing masks so that's hopefully something that will resume and improve as we move forward.

That is probably a good estimate. When I was at Lowes on Saturday it was well over 90% of people but then went to Hy-Vee and it was down around 50%.

are we? I’d still like to see more testing.

I went to my Hy-Vee (Mt Vernon Rd) yesterday morning, I thought probably close to 75% of the customers were wearing some kind of mask - but only 2 Hy-Vee employees. I saw a bunch of Hy-Vee people pushing around boxes for to-go or delivery orders and not one of them was wearing a mask or gloves.

Coworker around 60 years old has been gone for over a week, had slight fever, was super out of breath and fatigued doing nothing more than normal. Went to the doctor and they wouldn’t test him for whatever reason.

It’s very frustrating that months into this we still don’t have adequate testing. Every single person going to the doctor should be tested.

Wow. He should have been a prime person to test.

Only place I've really been in Ames is Wal-mart but I'd guess at most 40-50% of people were wearing masks of some sort.

The lack of testing at this point is concerning. It's almost like the numbers are being kept artificially low on purpose.
